As soon as we saw Morningside Gardens we just liked it…
And from that time since, the attachment’s grown. I think it helps that my husband’s from around here, so it was an area we knew already. For him especially it really feels as if he’s come back where he belongs.
All in the Garden is lovely
To be honest, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it is about Morningside Gardens that makes it so lovely, but it is just that: lovely. The place is so peaceful. It’s very quiet. It’s not that you’re in the countryside exactly, but it definitely has a rural feel to it.
Friendly and open staff
It wasn’t just the location that drew us. Victoria in the sales office was also instrumental in us choosing Morningside Gardens. She’s a friendly young woman and so open. You really felt she cared about your decision to buy.
A built-in sense of community
Being surrounded by likeminded people is important as well; and that’s what we’ve got. We’re basically surrounded by people who are just like ourselves. Morningside Gardens really feels like home.

The thing that makes Stewart Milne homes stand apart is the space…
We wanted a two-bed property, and all the other new-builds we looked at had two bedrooms and nothing else. With Stewart Milne we got the added bonus of a box room, but it was not just a room for boxes it could be a room itself.
Where two bedrooms really count for three
With our new home at Morningside Gardens we’ve finally got enough space. The third room is big enough to get everything that we need into it. You could equally make it an office or a nursery, which is why we bought it. Everything is in the right place and has a proper home within our home.
Fantastically friendly customer service
Another thing that stands out is the customer service. It’s been fantastic, better than anything elsewhere. Right from our first visit to Morningside Gardens, Victoria was very good in explaining all the options. She could answer our questions straight away, unlike other developments we’d seen. We felt she was genuinely interested in what we wanted for the house. She was keen to help us with our mortgage as well.
Morningside Gardens: quiet yet friendly
If I had to sum up Morningside Gardens to someone who didn’t know it, I’d say that it’s quiet and friendly, with like-minded neighbours. We’re really pleased that we made the decision to move. Hopefully you will be as well.

Love at first sight
We both fell in love with the house as soon as we saw it. We just loved the plot; it sold Morningside Gardens to us. There’s nothing ‘run of the mill’ about it. It’s an excellent spot and feels very rural. You’d think you were in the middle of nowhere. We look out on to a field, which runs down into a large pond full of wildlife. You see the ducks and swans bobbing around each morning; it gives you a good feeling. The whole development is excellent, very quiet; but at the same time you’re part of a vibrant and busy community. You truly get the best of both worlds.
Innovative design from Stewart Milne to ‘future proof’ your home
The thing people most comment on is the space. Visitors are surprised by how much there is. Stewart Milne have been innovative in their design and thought ahead. For instance, the utility room downstairs already has piping in place should you wish to turn it into a shower room. I really like that forward planning. It gives you options to develop the house further without too much upheaval.
Second to none service
Both the sales and onsite teams are second to none. Stewart Milne made the whole process very easy. As with any new build, we’ve had some issues, but Stewart Milne have kept to timescales and even given us recompense. Our minds have been put at ease by the great service we’ve received.

Stewart Milne offer some really good deals. It’s a win-win situation. We went with an assured sale, so that even if we couldn’t sell our old house in time, Stewart Milne would still have given us market value. I don’t know any other house builder who could have matched that. It was very comforting to have that reassurance

There’s just so much of it! And it’s not just me saying that. Friends have commented as well.
Simply loads and loads and loads of space
That’s why we bought it really. We bought off plan and had a good sense of what it would be like, but it still doesn’t prepare you for when you walk through the front door for the first time and can just see your home opening up. It’s far bigger than anything we’ve had before.
Superior construction and design
The whole build is totally different from your usual brand-new home. It’s not just the rooms that are bigger; the finishings are far superior as well. We’ve had a couple of new-build properties before, from different developers, and whilst we were pleased with those, what we’ve got here with Stewart Milne is far superior.
A really good service from Stewart Milne
Buying from Stewart Milne has been really good; no major downfalls. We had a few tweaks in the early days whilst the house was settling in, but that’s to be expected. Jim, the site manager, has been very good. Any issues, you just let him know and he gets someone in to fix it.

We knew the area already as it’s close to where we previously lived; and friends had also recommended it. It’s a nice area, quite quiet. Morningside Gardens is more like a village really than a development.
The service is exceptional
The best thing about Stewart Milne by far has been the service. Everyone has been really helpful, from when we first entered the show home to now. Any questions we had, people have been able to answer them; any issues, people have come out straight away to fix things. Being a new build, there have been wee flaws, which is only to be expected, but everything’s been sorted out really quickly. We have no complaints at all.
Quality that’s head and shoulders above the rest
When I compare what we’ve got to other show homes I’ve seen, the quality really stands out. You can see it in the way the kitchen and bathroom have been finished. It’s done to a really high standard.

I’d been thinking about moving for about two years, but to be honest I didn’t think I’d be able to...

I cannot applaud Victoria, the girl in Sales, or Jim, the Site Manager, enough. They made the experience really nice, made me feel special when we moved in. You get the impression that it is not just another sale to them. Even now, I still feel that they are interested in me. That really helps and reassures you. It gives you real peace of mind. I thought that once we’d moved in, that would be it, that they wouldn’t be interested anymore; but it’s nice that we still chat. If anything’s not right, they’ll sort it. In fact, the way you’re treated is the best thing. The part exchange has been a very smooth process. They made it as easy for me as possible. For instance, they let people in to help with measuring up when we didn’t have the keys. I was pregnant at the time and to sell your house, move in, and for that not to be stressful shows how smoothly it went.

We've not had any problems
We’ve not had any problems. We were looking for a four-bedroom house and this one at Morningside Gardens ticked all the boxes. It’s a well-proportioned house; the rooms aren’t boxy. They are a good size and we like the general layout. We especially like the fact that our guest bedroom has an en-suite. For us, that was a major selling point. We did a part exchange and were very pleased with the offer that Stewart Milne made on our old property. There was no messing about. They made us such a good offer that we felt it was worthwhile to move up to a four-bedroom house from our three-bed semi.
The staff are very well organised
We don’t feel cheated in any way. We’d looked at other homebuilders but Stewart Milne Homes offered the best deal. The staff are very well organised, right from the first instance in meeting the sales girl, through to the site foreman. They put the customer first. They were really thoughtful in that they gave us time to move from our old house to our new. We had three or four days in which to move, which we thought was really good. It definitely reduced the pressure on what can otherwise be a stressful time.

We would certainly recommend Stewart Milne. It’s because of the way they look after the site. They understand that even whilst building work is going on, this is our home. When we moved in, the next door neighbour’s house wasn’t complete, but they still tidied up the site for us and did the driveway. It’s that attention to detail that makes the difference. That’s why we would recommend.

We wanted to move to a nice area with a good school but were concerned about how easily we would sell our old house...
The best aspect for me has been the part exchange because it took the stress out of the situation.

Our new home is situated in an attractive development in a lovely village with a great school, it ticked all the boxes for us; the location, the school and the house. Everything was perfect.
The communication was second-to-none
Victoria in the marketing suite was absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. We had some complications with our mortgage but all the way through she was there and was really supportive. She told us not to worry and that she’d do everything she could to help us; she was just great. The communication we received from Stewart Milne Homes was second-to-none. I don’t think we went more than a couple of days without speaking to someone and we knew exactly what was happening throughout the process. Jim was great and made sure anything we needed sorting out after moving in was done more or less straight away; within the hour in some cases. They were very proactive and we’re delighted with our new home.

Being a new home we had concerns as to what the workmanship and quality of the house would be like...
But I’m pleased to say that my concerns were unfounded. We are very comfortable in our new home.
Morningside Gardens is the ideal
With two young daughters, our house at Morningside Gardens is the ideal size for us. It’s detached, so we have much more space than before. The site staff were very helpful, even down to things like minor items on our snagging list, which I could have fixed myself. They said that they would come and do it for me; and they did. They were really most helpful with any concerns we had.
