Stewart Milne Homes’ brand new First Time Buyer plan (announced 17 Feb) is proving extremely popular, with the first sale achieved on the day it launched. Since introducing the product only a month ago, Stewart Milne Homes has smashed its original sales forecast, with 75 per cent of its entire three-month campaign target already fulfilled. Commenting on the success of the company’s new product John Slater, Group Managing Director – Homes, said: “This has been a very encouraging start to the new First Time Buyer Plan. We spend a considerable time talking to first time buyers and researching their needs, before we developed the plan so we were confident that the final product would be well received. However, we have been surprised with just how popular it has been since the day it launched, where at ABeleven in Aberdeen, we sold a property within hours of launching. “We are delighted to be offering such an effective purchase plan and help more first time buyers secure their ideal property and become homeowners. These early sales and the volume of interest we are receiving are a clear indication our product is providing the right support and solutions and that the desire to buy continues.” Currently unrivalled on the market, the new First Time Buyer plan offers a 'hand holding' service from start to finish, designed to support first time buyers, provide advice and guidance and make the process easy and a more financially beneficial option than renting. The product covers all legal and survey costs, as well as added extras such as the factor fees and accident, illness and unemployment cover for the first year. In addition, buyers can move straight into their new home fully kitted out with a choice of furniture, curtains and carpets, plus a home entertainment package including a 40" plasma TV and a year’s Sky digital subscription. With the affordable purchase scheme, Stewart Milne Homes will also remove the need for hefty deposits. First time buyers require a mortgage for just 75% of the property price, while owning 100% of the property from day one. The remaining 25% is deferred and repaid after 10 years or when the property is sold. |
