I hadn’t actually heard of Stewart Milne Homes until we came to look at Heathfields...

but I was reassured by how helpful the sales person was and also from what I saw on their website. Everything then went according to plan.

Georgian design and a sense of space
We liked the general design and the position of the plot. The house has high ceilings and a sense of space with good-sized rooms. Its Georgian style with double-fronted bay windows is in keeping with other properties in the area. The design fits in. The finish is good as well. We also have open space at the front and a relatively large garden compared to some of the other properties that we’ve seen. We’re very pleased, very satisfied with our new home.

Close to town… and to the countryside
We chose our new home first and foremost for its location as it’s close to Tarporley. We liked the area. It’s close to town and also to the countryside. There are good communication links: accessible for the motorway, the transport links using the train and bus are also nearby.

Part exchange worked very smoothly
The part exchange was very efficient. From the information that we were given at the initial stage through to the handover, it all worked very smoothly. After agreeing to the part exchange offer, it only took 3 or 4 weeks to complete the move. That’s what I remember most, the speed of the process and the efficiency pretty well all round.

The staff are so amenable
The staff have been so amenable to our requests, helping with our questions and needs. Right from the beginning, from the sales person through to the site manager and all the workmen who’ve dealt with snagging, they’ve been very good. The workmen are very pleasant and always take their boots off!

I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes, particularly if you were a family, as, with the part exchange the whole process of buying and moving was almost stress free.

We thought that new homes lacked character...

but as soon as we saw what Stewart Milne have built at Heathfields that preconception went straight away. The quality of the house has surpassed our expectations; it’s superb.

Stewart Milne won hands down
For us the primary reason for choosing Heathfields was its location. We wanted to be in Tarporley; but even if that hadn’t been the main reason, Stewart Milne would still have won hands down. The houses they’ve built are in keeping with the village. They’ve used Cheshire bricks and have managed to make them look as ‘period-like’ as you can make a new house look, even down to the street lighting – and that’s saying something coming from someone who’s always lived in period homes before.

You get a very high standard of service
The best thing about buying from Stewart Milne was how easy they made everything. It was just so straight forward, an easy process. The timing of the offer all just fitted into place. Also, you get a very high standard of service. Everything they’ve said they’ll do they’ve done. When we moved in, there was a snag list, but they’ve followed up on everything. Every call they said they’d make, they did. They kept in touch.

Bowled over by the high quality of the finish
We were bowled over by the quality of the finish of everything, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms, where the quality of finish is superb. We’re also absolutely delighted with the plot itself. We’re really happy in our new place; it feels like home already.
