Buying off plan, you can never be entirely sure what you’ve chosen, given that you haven’t actually seen the house… but we are really satisfied with what we’ve got; my wife, especially, is over the moon. We really like the layout. It’s ideal. We wanted something open plan and have got a combined kitchen/ diner, which got the thumbs up from my wife. We’ve got a driveway as well, which our old house didn’t have, so have got better security. We really like the development as well. Leathan Rise is ideally situated. It’s just outside Aberdeen, but not too far. We’ve been aware of this development since they first started building a few years ago and are really glad to have made the move. One of the things we like about it is its variety. Whilst there are other houses that are similar, they’re laid out so that your next door neighbour’s is different to yours. It gives character to the place. The customer service has been outstanding. One of the things that’s impressed me has been the customer service. If you have an issue it’s resolved straight away, no hassles. They make it very easy for you. As with any new house, when you first move in certain things are not working right. As soon as we spoke to the site manager, it was resolved within half an hour. You couldn’t fault him; he was just brilliant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Stewart Milne because of our overall experience. From the sales person on, there have been no let downs. For instance, they’re quick to send you a letter to let you know the progress of the house and keep you in the loop. That’s why I’d recommend them.

Moving into a new build, we had the usual concerns about whether our house would be finished on time or whether we’d be left homeless for a few days… but everything went absolutely fine. We completed on the day we were meant to complete. We got our keys first thing in the morning and moved in within the day. Our new home is ideal for us. We’re newly married and were living in a one-bedroom flat before. We needed a bit more space and wanted something modern, somewhere where we could make our mark. Leathan Rise has provided us with that. We knew about Leathan Rise because we were already living in the area and had seen it being built right from the start. It’s far enough outside the city to make you feel that you are out of it, but still close enough so that you can be in the city centre within 20 minutes; and it’s not just me saying that. I know a few people who have moved out and they seem to really like it too. It’s hard to rate what’s been best about our experience of buying from Stewart Milne because everything has been so easy. Any problems we’ve reported have been dealt with within two days. We just email the site manager and he comes back very quickly to our emails. The whole thing has been absolutely flawless. Before you move in, you get this demonstration meeting where you’re shown the key features of your home and how to look after it. I really enjoyed this meeting because it was the first time we’d been into our chosen style of home, the first time we’d seen the house completed. It was so enjoyable learning how everything in the house works. The staff explained things very, very well and took time to show you how to care for your home. I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne because we’ve had no problems at all. It’s been such an easy process. They’ve kept us up-to-date and made things really, really simple; that’s why I would recommend.

We’d never bought a home from Stewart Milne before, but they had an offer that made the whole buying process very easy for us... I can honestly say that it was a pleasurable experience. With our family long since flown the nest, we were looking for something for just my wife and me. A new build appealed because everything is very modern and more reliable. There are so many features I like: the downstairs loo, the lounge and the French doors into the rather nice garden. The interior finish is to a high standard as well, which we appreciate. This house ticks all the boxes; it’s a nice size and easily maintained. I like how I can enjoy the comfort of my home and I look forward to being cosy in our new Stewart Milne home over the winter. I know Aberdeen can be very cold, but we will be quite comfortable here. Living on Leathan Rise, it’s like returning to our roots, a feeling of returning home. We were familiar with the area anyway so it’s nice that we can meet up with old friends. We feel lucky that we are living in such a nice environment. It is well landscaped and a nice part of the world to be living in. In fact, important as it is to get the house right, it is the landscaping around the gardens which partly makes it such a nice place to live. In terms of what’s best about buying from Stewart Milne, it’s hard to say. I think it’s just the whole package. They made it so easy from start to finish. It is lovely to get the business from the customer, but the after-sales service is so important as well. Everything was made that much easier for us by the sales team, the on-site foreman and beyond. Even now, if there are any minor details that we are concerned or worried about, they are always dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. They even still check that everything is as it should be. I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne, without thinking about it. Buying a house, as we all know, can be potentially very stressful, but this was pleasurable. Stewart Milne staff are professional and knowledgeable. They guide you through everything and having the back-up of after-sales made is a very pleasurable experience. That’s why I would recommend.

With a one-year old daughter who’s a human hurricane, we needed more space... and the thought of living in a brand-new build really appealed. We needed something not too big, not too small (a Goldilocks house if you will). It was our mortgage advisor who recommended Stewart Milne. Three bedrooms is more than enough space for us. The wee one has her own room and there’s an extra bedroom for guests. We’ve also got a garden, which was important to us as well. The people at Stewart Milne have been very helpful. Diane, the sales advisor, was brilliant. She made things easy for us. Whatever questions we had, she answered them and kept us up-to-date on what was happening. In fact, the whole process was pretty straightforward and smooth, from making the initial enquiry through to getting the keys and moving in. We even had the site manager and a couple of others come in to check everything was OK and that we had everything we needed. I would recommend Stewart Milne without hesitation, because it was literally a pain-free experience. The customer service was fantastic. That’s why I would recommend.

We’d never bought a new home before and prior to moving had the usual concerns about finances etc... but Stewart Milne’s part exchange made it very doable for us. The best move we’ve done I think it was the best move that we have done. It was really easy going and everyone that we dealt with was really helpful; it was a really good experience for us. Stewart Milne staff are so helpful We got a lot of help - from Linda in the sales office and from Phil and Justin with the actual house. Linda was great at sorting out the office side of things. As for the house, any problems, however minor, Phil and Justin have always sorted them out really quickly. For instance, we were having some problems with the windows and doors due to settlement, but Justin came round and got it all sorted out. Phil also came round and touched up any marks on the walls. I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne. They were really helpful and quick to get things sorted out for me. That’s why I would recommend.

The Brown family moved into their new home at The Rise at Leathan Fields just in time to welcome a new addition to the family:
