The houses on the development look very smart in the way they are finished off and the way the brickwork is set with different types of stone and colours that run through it all to fit in nicely. The gardens are neat and it’s all very clean and tidy. With ample parking, there aren’t many cars on the street and that adds to the look of the place.

“My home is quiet and well planned.”
People may go past, or there may be children playing outside, but inside my house there isn’t really any noise at all. It’s very well insulated. I love the bathrooms; they are particularly well done with the high specification of the vanity and the mirrors, and the finish of it all with the tiles. They are laid out well with the bath and the sink on one side, so it all looks really good. The colouring also goes all through the house, so it’s pleasant to look. It’s also just the right size; even the garden is just big enough, so there’s isn’t too much to upkeep.

“Everybody seems friendly here.”
Whether it’s my neighbours across the road or the neighbours that walk down the street, everybody seems to say “hello” here. That’s just what you want moving somewhere new. It’s easy to settle in with nice people around you.

We’re not all crammed in and I don’t even feel like there’s someone living next to me. No one’s door is located in exactly the same position, so you don’t hear any activity from neighbours who are part of an attached house, and the front doors are spaced out enough so you have an open view. We all have our own back door and our own gardens, and that makes it nice and private. Having very little traffic and being situated in a cul-de-sac means it’s peaceful and quiet here.

When we moved in all of our neighbours were very welcoming. They asked how we were getting on and how we liked our new home. A lot of them were new in as well, so they shared their experience of moving in with us. They said that if there was anything we needed, we could just give them a shout.

I moved here from Aberdeen, where it was crowded and noisy around the clock.
Now I live on a quiet development in a quiet, family oriented, friendly neighbourhood with a good atmosphere. Surrounded by farms, parks and gardens, it’s beautiful and green. That also contributes to the good feeling and it’s exactly what I want for a home because it’s very relaxing. I can come home from work, sit back and unwind.

As a family, everyone has things to do.
Being here keeps everyone happy and I’ve been doing research around the area. There are so many activities and there’s a sports centre that we’re really interested in. There’s swimming, a fitness suite and lots of sports available, as well as a place to sit down with a cup of tea.

The houses on the development are beautiful and the Churchwood houses are quite unique.
The best feature of these houses is the staircase. It looks as if it would belong in a church and climbing to the top of it is like climbing up to the uppermost part of a church building. The houses also have ample storage and my wife and I love the built in double wardrobes. They fit in with the ambience of the estate.

We enjoy excellent views of the southern Cairngorms in one direction and can see all the way to Fife in the other. The southern Cairngorms are more rolling hills as opposed to the craggy mountains in the North. If we want we can get out there and walk as there is easy access to paths nearby. We’ll certainly be doing more of it when the weather improves.

First, the entire development has a lot of space between the houses and the streets are big too; being removed from the town also makes it nice and quiet. My kids are pretty active though, so I needed to know that there would be plenty of things for them to do. They play tennis and there’s a karate club here. There are a lot of sports activities, dance clubs and theatre groups as well. The grown ups don’t struggle either; there are pubs in the town where we can meet up with our friends.

It’s been a pleasure to deal with Stewart Milne Homes.
The building is ongoing on the development and the guys are literally right next door working on the house. I see them every day and we have a chat over the wall; they are really friendly. John the site manager is fantastic and Allison in sales is brilliant, so it’s been a fine experience. John has always been available if we needed him and he always follows up on things. I count Allison as a real friend now and my dog worships her; he’ll always bound towards the office when we head near there. She is really friendly and very, very easy to deal with. Before the purchase we had some concerns and she gave us all the information we needed; that reassured us.

The neighbourhood we live in at Monarchs Rise is nice and quiet, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valley…
…I’ve been living in a bigger city for a while where it was very noisy and hard to find a parking space, but that’s not the case here and I’m enjoying it. I can even see the tractors when I’m working from home!

We’re still close to everything we need
Whilst we live in the countryside we are still close to everything that we need. It’s a great location as the nearest supermarket is 300 yards away, there are schools close by and the next town is only 3-4 minutes away. My wife and I are looking to start a family over the next couple of years, so it’s important to have things close by.

The green areas are important to the development

There are only 50-60 houses built at the moment, so the green areas are quite nice. Once the development is finished I think there will be around 300 houses here, but we know the green areas will remain and that is important because the views are so lovely here.
