John Slater

Group Managing Director - Homes

John Slater is Group Managing Director - Homes and joined the Board in April 2007.

John previously worked for National Housebuilder Bovis Homes for ten years and held the positions of Marketing Director, Sales & Marketing Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2002.

John Low

Managing Director

John Low has been with us since 1990, as Development Director then Land Director, before being promoted to Managing Director.

A Quantity Surveyor by profession, John is also responsible for the financial
performance of all developments.

Gordon Middleton

Finance Director

Gordon joined in April 2008, bringing a wealth of financial and commercial experience, having held a number of senior finance positions in both UK and international businesses.

Gordon has a degree in accountancy and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Raymond Edgar

Construction Director

Raymond is now responsible for all construction related activities.

Raymond started his career with a housing developer and then worked in an architect’s private practice, before joining Stewart Milne in 1982. 

Mike Cowie

Sales Director

Mike has over 20 years residential property experience having started In property sales as an estate agent. In 1986, he moved into the highly specialised areas of corporate relocation and corporate residential asset management prior to joining Stewart Milne Homes in 1996 as Part Exchange Controller.

Mike was then promoted to Sales Manager in 2001 and Sales Director in 2007.

Mike is responsible for developing and leading the division's sales & marketing strategies, and plays a key role in meeting our aims of delivering the highest standards of customer satisfaction, quality of product & service whilst maintaining a focus on business growth.

Stuart Henderson

Technical Director

Having qualified as an architect, Stuart joined Stewart Milne in 2001, becoming Technical Director iin August 2007

Responsible for both architectural and engineering design, Stuart incorporates his design training and experience into every development.

Stuart is responsible for both Central and NE Scotland

Iain Craig

Commercial Director

Ian returned to Stewart Milne in October 2007 as Commercial Director, responsible for the division's commercial delivery.

Ian, formerly a Quantity Surveyor, has over 32 years experience in the industry, holding both senior and director positions within both private housing and construction markets.

Iain is responsible for both Central and NE Scotland

Steve Loomes

Managing Director - Strategic Land

Steve spent time in strategic land acquisition and management with a Plc, before joining Stewart Milne Homes as Land Director.

With over 10 years experience in the sector, Steve was appointed as Managing Director of Strategic Land in 2010.

Steve is responsible for operational and strategic land acquisition and management for the Homes division.
