You don’t have to start from scratch
Stewart Milne’s whole package was such a good idea.  It was great not walking into a blank canvas.  We had all the carpets, the curtains, beds, blinds and drawers, and what-have-you, included in the price; all the basics for what you need when starting out. 

An all-round good experience
The service was really good.  Stewart Milne kept us up-to-date every Friday with how the house was going.  They met their deadlines as much as they could.  All round, it was a good experience buying from them and we’re really happy with the outcome.

Attractive incentives that make it easy to move
We lived just across the way before, but had always had our eye on The Fairways. It helped that Stewart Milne offer such good incentives, like paying the stamp duty and throwing in the flooring, fencing and turf for free. That made a huge difference to our being able to move.

A large, light house: the perfect family home
Everyone comments on how big the house is. It’s ideal for a family. We’ve got what we wanted: a detached house with a larger garden and bigger drive. We’ve even got an en suite and separate utility room, which were on our wish list. There’s lots of space and natural light. We have three windows in the master bedroom alone; that shows how much space there is.

Quick off the starting blocks
We reserved on the Sunday and moved in just under two weeks later. Diane in Sales handled everything. She was brilliant, really nice. And any little niggles we’ve had, the site manager has been quick to sort. We’d report something and it would often be fixed that same day. The customer service has been second to none.

Look again at Portlethen; it may surprise you
Initially I hadn’t thought about living in Portlethen.  But after seeing the plans, the area and other houses I changed my mind.  There’s lots of shrubbery and green space.  And our house overlooks the golf course so we’re not going to have neighbours directly behind us.

With Stewart Milne you’re treated as an individual
Diane, the sales consultant, was super; always available for advice.  She made us feel important and treated us as individuals.  Months on she still cheerfully waves to us when we drive through.  And there are people available to help at all times.  For instance, when we first moved in, the builders offered to dispose of our unused turf and take away our rubbish.  And we know that, even now, should we have any problems, there are people on site who will be able to fix them.

I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne.  The house is great and if we make any marks on the paint or doors they get sorted.  You don’t have that guarantee with a house that isn’t new.  That’s why I’d recommend them.
