When you’re buying to let it can be really difficult to find an attractive apartment that’s of high quality and in the right location... But Athena Grange ticked all the boxes. I am more than happy with the flat – and so is my tenant The apartment’s beautifully laid out and near to transport. The bathroom and the en-suite shower are just beautiful. Athena Grange has raised the standard and adds to the town. Even the solicitors were impressed The attention to detail was excellent. Everything was on time and the solicitors were very impressed by the paperwork. Everything was done quickly and any concerns we had were sorted. It was so nice not having to chase them up for things. We’re first-time buyers and were concerned about being able to get enough of a deposit for a mortgage... But Stewart Milne’s shared equity deal saved us the issue of a deposit. Athena Grange is perfect for our family’s needs Our house has three good-sized bedrooms; it’s a good use of space. We looked at similar houses but didn’t think they were as big. Stewart Milne fitted everything in nicely and there seemed to be a bit more space compared to others. There’s also a play park round the corner, which is great, because I’ve been able to let the kids out to play for the first time on their own. We’ve bought new homes before, but buying from Stewart Milne was the best experience we’ve had... …we came up and looked at the apartment and just bought it there and then. The design is lovely and the rooms are a good size It’s very big compared to the little apartments being built in the middle of Edinburgh. The design of it is lovely, especially the terrace, which I love. The lounge is with the kitchen and the bedrooms are a good size. The spec seems to be of quite a high finish as well. It suited what we needed to access Edinburgh. I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne I think they are a professional company; they answered all my questions and made the experience a lot better than it could have been. I especially loved Dawn in the office. She was excellent: professional, informative and came back to me if I had a query.

We considered a number of new developments before settling on Athena Grange. Our reason for doing so?... We were just impressed with the quality and standard of the homes. They seemed a lot better than some others we’d been looking at. We did a part exchange and it was ideal for us. It made getting rid of the old house and moving into our new one so much easier, with a lot less stress and hassle. I still can’t get over how quickly we moved. Within the space of a month we had signed over and moved in; it was really that quick and simple. We consider our new home a future investment. We don’t have any children at the moment but if we do have kids, there’ll be plenty space. We have five bedrooms so plenty of rooms in which to hide! But seriously, the development is very child-friendly. There is a small park here in Athena Grange which is perfect for young children. Also, we’ve got an end terrace so you can’t hear the neighbours at all. It actually feels like a detached house, it’s just perfect. Dawn from the sales office and the site manager have been so easy to approach, more than helpful. In the early days, Dawn was excellent in keeping us up to date and letting us know when we could view the property. She also made my wife and I aware of the stages involved and explained everything to us. Mr Chapman, the site manager, has been fantastic as well in terms of helping with the snagging list and making sure the work that does get carried out meets our standards. Every now and again he drops by to make sure we’re happy. The after-sales is really taken care of; any queries are quickly answered. I have to say that the service is fantastic, I have no complaints. I have already recommended Athena Grange to my cousin and her partner who have a 2-year old boy as it’s perfect for young families. They’re actually moving in to their new house round the corner from us in the first week in November. I also recommended the development to my aunt and uncle as well, as they want a place that’s easier to maintain than what they already own. When deciding on which development to move into we looked at the houses of the neighbouring sites and the quality, finish and layout from Stewart Milne was far better than their competitors. It was an easy decision for us to make; and that’s why I’ve recommended.
