With wide open spaces at its heart, this urban village concept is an ideal place to raise your family.

Farrington Park forms part of the exciting new Buckshaw Village close to the more established village of Euxton and towns of Chorley and Leyland. Buckshaw itself is a brand new village community featuring new homes, employment, shopping, a family pub/restaurant and leisure facilities. Furthermore, Buckshaw Village forms part of the National Cycle Route 55 of the National Cycle Network.

The nearby All Seasons Leisure Centre offers swimming and a variety of sporting facilities. There are numerous public parks including Worden Park, Astley and Cuerdan. A great day out for the family can be found at Camelot Theme Park, just 15 minutes from the development at Charnock Richard.

The development benefits from excellent road and rail connections, which can be found off Station Brow in Leyland, Shepherd's Way Chorley and Balshaw Lane in Euxton.

“All of my neighbours in Farrington Park are friendly and everything is on my doorstep…”

My three bedroom, semi-detached house is perfect for me and I love living in this attractive development.
Farrington Park is a big village of new build houses that’s well planted and kept clean and tidy. Families can happily use the play parks or enjoy the wildlife, such as ducks, around the tranquil ponds. Many people choose to go running or walk their dogs and I always see people out here. I like that the room sizes are larger than other new builds and that the houses are well spaced out and well built, giving a sense of spaciousness and privacy.

Farrington Park is safe, well connected and has a great community feel.
I’ve had leaflets through the door for Halloween and Bonfire Night so I know there is always something going on here for families. I can visit the restaurants, shops and licensed establishments within walking distance, as well as a supermarket and a beauty salon. The primary school in the area is only a walk away as well. If I wanted to go further out, this place has its own train station 6 minutes away from the house and there is never any noise from it. It’s also really good for connections for the M6 and M61.

I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I've had absolutely no issues up to now, the design is brilliant and everyone is really friendly.
Mr Colin Dow
“We migrated here from Scotland and we’re very pleased with the community we live in; we settled in easily to life on Farrington Park…”

“The prime thing about this development is the location.”

It’s fairly peaceful here, yet it’s 5 minutes away from the motorway so it’s convenient. The amenities in the village are great. As a purpose built village it feels established and with good community services and plenty of shops there’s a lot to do.

“The standard of build on the development is excellent.”
We bought the show house so we are right at the start of the development. The houses have a good quality finish with good quality fittings; that shows attention to detail. The layout of the homes is also very good with plenty of wardrobe space. Stewart Milne Homes put a lot of thought into the angle of the houses and whether they are facing North or South so they are not overlooked. The layout of the houses on the development means that they aren’t built in a row so we have space around our house and there is a feeling of spaciousness on the development itself. We have a good outlook, both in front and in back.

“Everyone from Stewart Milne Homes was friendly and helpful.”
We dealt mainly with the customer liaison manager, Jim, who went through the snagging list with us and explained everything. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was sorted in a flash.

I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...

...because of the level of service and attention to detail. Everyone has been very nice and nothing has been too much trouble.
Why I love living here – Gail Carey
I nearly gave up hope on being able to part exchange my old home until I met with Stewart Milne Homes…
It was something that I thought wasn’t possible. No one would take my old house as a part exchange because it was a listed 250 year old property. Someone recommended Stewart Milne so I gave it a go, and they were fantastic. The whole process took about 8 weeks with the part exchange and they sold my house before I completed the move!

The service is first class
The site manager and the sales person were brilliant to deal with and they were very helpful. They’re a great company to deal with and in the after service, it was exemplary; they were there straight away to get it fixed.

It’s perfect for families
I’m settled in and I love it here. There are 14 of us at times and with the kitchen/dining area, it’s never crowded. It’s an open, communal place and it’s very family orientated. Unlike a lot of new developments, Stewart Milne’s part is quite small and that’s what I like. We’re tucked away in a cul-de-sac and it’s a nice and quiet area; I love the size of the plot.
Why we love living here – Ray and Louise Jennings

We’ve moved a number of times, but this house feels the most like ‘home’…
It’s just got a really nice feel to it.

A light and airy home
Compared to what we’ve had before, our new home seems much more spacious. It’s really light and airy. I especially love that as you walk up the stairs you’ve got a choice as to whether you turn left or right. Most landings are just a thin strip with rooms leading off. Here, you can tell that Stewart Milne have really put thought into the design.

And a bigger garden to boot
I really love our new garden as well. It’s so big, especially for a new build; and it’s not just me saying that. Quite a few visitors have commented on it as well. It’s good for us as we’ve got kids and a dog. It means they’ve got plenty of room to play.

Service that is second to none
I have to say that the service has been absolutely fantastic, especially from Jim, the site manager. He’s really chirpy, friendly and welcoming, always got time for you. You get the impression he’d do anything for you. In fact, before we moved in, he even built us a little pen for our dog so that she wouldn’t go out on the newly-laid grass. That’s the level of service you receive.

Farrington Park: a holiday feel to it
Coming home to Farrington Park is a little like being in a holiday home; and I mean that in a good way! You know how when you go on holiday you get that ‘holiday feeling’? I get that same feeling here. You’re coming home to something different all the time. It just feels very quiet, very comfortable. We’re really settled.
Karen Gibson

If I had to sum up what it’s like to live here, I’d say it’s about having space…
Both in the home and all around.

Farrington Park: a bright and airy location
Here at Farrington Park the houses aren’t all on top of each other. They’re well-spaced out. It makes the place seem bright and airy. Plus it’s extremely well located. The train station is literally across the road, so you can get to Manchester in no time. And there’s a Tesco’s nearby as well, so it’s very convenient.

Extremely helpful staff who make moving easy
Buying from Stewart Milne, the whole process was comparatively easy. Jim and Shirley were extremely helpful all the way through, right from when we first saw the house. Shirley kept us informed and any issues we had prior to moving in, she sorted them out. Then, when we’d actually moved in we had a couple of things that needed fixing. Jim dealt with them, literally, within five minutes. That was all it took.

Cleverly designed storage to maximise the sense of space
One thing I really like is all the space. It’s not just that we’re now living in a four-bed house whereas before we only had three. It’s also all the storage space that’s been designed into the home. I now have storage under the stairs and a cupboard in my separate utility room off the kitchen, which is really handy. These may seem like little things, but it’s that quality and attention to detail that really set Stewart Milne Homes apart
John Lewis

Moving to a new place, you wonder what it’s really going to be like…
But I can honestly say that Farrington Park is absolutely fantastic. It’s full of likeminded individuals who seem to be really passionate about our street and our village.

A better quality of life…
Our new home is very spacious. There are big French doors leading on to the lawn behind. We lived in a two-up, two-down before, so the quality of life is a massive step-up from what we’re used to.

…And it needn’t be a long wait
We were quite time pressed as we first viewed the house mid November and moved in mid December. It was a quick turnaround – all done within four weeks. Shirley at Stewart Milne chased the solicitor and made sure all the statutory checks were done on schedule, and Jim the site manager was like the other half to Shirley. He made sure the house was absolutely spotless when we moved in, and that all our queries were answered.

A company that doesn’t just do ‘nine to five’
On our moving day we had to wait all day for the money to come through from the building society (no fault of Stewart Milne’s). Shirley entertained us all day and kept us in tea and biscuits. We didn’t complete till after 5 o’clock, by which time it was chucking it down. Jim and Shirley both stayed behind, well after they could have gone home. Jim even jumped on the back of the van and moved us all in. They definitely both went above and beyond that day.

Farrington Park… fantastic neighbourhood, houses and people

Farrington Park is a fantastic neighbourhood with beautiful houses, filled with great people. Everyone’s really nice. My wife’s already made friends here through the local Zumba club and we’ve even managed to have a few barbeques and invite the neighbours round. Not bad given we only moved in a few months ago. That’s just one reason why we love living here.
Mr Rowbottom

We looked at lots of developments at Buckshaw Village, but only Stewart Milne’s houses looked how I wanted mine to look…

Quite simply, it looked right, was the right size and the right sort of money for us.

Spacious and gracious
You get a feel for a property the moment you walk in.   And with the big staircase and open spaces, it felt really spacious.  I’m quite tall so it was important to me to have good-sized doors and living spaces.  And with our first baby due in just a few weeks’ time, we definitely needed something larger.  Now we’ve got a nice garden, a drive where you can fit 2 cars, and my wife’s got the en-suite that she really wanted.

Part of the Stewart Milne family
Dealing with the staff has been a pleasure, whether it was selecting things for the house, or dealing with the snagging.  The negotiation process was particularly straightforward.  We were initially looking at 2 properties, but the other builder was chaotic to say the least and dismissive of what I was trying to say.  With Stewart Milne, you deal with someone who listens to what you have to say.  It was dead easy.  We were done and dusted within the hour.  You feel like you’re valued, that you belong to the Stewart Milne family.

I would recommend Stewart Milne Homes, absolutely
I would certainly recommend Stewart Milne Homes, because you couldn’t ask for a smoother process from start to finish.  Buying a home is such a personal experience, so close to the heart, and Stewart Milne enabled us to feel comfortable with the whole process.  That’s why I’d recommend them.
Mrs Nattrass

Although we’d never bought a brand-new home before, we had no hesitations in buying from Stewart Milne …

Even the estate agent was singing their praises!

A smooth and speedy part exchange
It’s funny because my husband had initially ruled out buying a new home or doing a part exchange, but in the end we did both. We got a reasonable price for our old home. And the whole process was really smooth: 19 days from beginning to end. It worked so seamlessly that I would do it again.

Even more space than we imagined
We’re really happy in our new home. It’s detached so it’s nice and spacious, bigger than we’d anticipated from seeing the show house. In fact, we were really surprised by the high standard of the finish and just how much space there is. It suits us perfectly.

Exceptional customer service with the human touch
The service we received from Shirley and Jim was amazing. They just made it so easy for us. They were so supportive. Shirley very much helped before we moved in, and Jim has totally gone above and beyond what we expected, helping us with all sorts of things like figuring out how to get the tumble drier and dishwasher fitted. They really made it for us.

Farrington Park: a community not just a development
Farrington Park is on the edge of Buckshaw Village. It’s a nice spot, with lots of open space, yet you’re still part of a modern development with all the benefits that go with that. There’s a new community forming. Everybody’s really nice. It helps that all the neighbours are relatively new. It’s so different to buying a house where everyone’s already established and you have to fit in.

I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes
I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes, because we’ve had such a positive experience. We’re in a good-quality home in a nice area. We really feel we’ve done the right thing. That’s why I’d recommend.
Susan Walsh

This was our first new brand-new home and Stewart Milne’s part exchange made it so straight forward …

It really was stress free. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Right from day one everyone was more than helpful.

Stewart Milne Homes really understand family life
The main thing for us was having extra space for our 13-year old, somewhere she could be with her friends, but separate from the living room. That’s exactly what we’ve got: a family area downstairs. It’s perfect, not just for teenagers, but the whole family.

Farrington Park has a great community feel
Farrington Park suited us because it’s not far from where we used to live. It’s a good community here. You’re also well-placed for country walks as well as the motorway.

I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne Homes
I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne Homes, because the whole experience was stress free. The standard of the house is also good, as is the customer care. That’s why I’d recommend them.
Mr Jennings

We looked at a lot of other sites, and plenty of other homebuilders, before we bought at Farrington Park…

And for us the research paid off. Buying from Stewart Milne has been a really good experience. We are really happy with our new home.

Better than other builders
We have a four-bedroom house and the sizes of the room are very good compared to other builders. We checked a lot of other sites out before we bought here. The development is a lot nicer and more attractive than others we’d seen. We really like the area as well.

Snags sorted within two hours
What’s impressed me most about Stewart Milne is their service all the way through, and the after care. From the initial meeting with Margaret to the site foreman, if there was a problem it was sorted out straight away. I was very impressed with that. Anything minor was fixed within a couple of hours; that’s how good it’s been. We’ve been here two months now and they always check to see if everything is OK. It’s great to have that contact.

I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne Homes
I would absolutely recommend Stewart Milne Homes, as the service was excellent from start to finish. They produced the goods when it was all completed and we have been really well looked after, which is why I’d recommend.
Jennifer Smyth

With Stewart Milne Homes being a big company you wonder whether you’ll ever speak to the same person twice…

But I have to say that their customer service is the best I’ve ever had. We dealt with the same two people – Shirley and Jim – all the time and they were brilliant, amazing.

A better quality of finish
We looked at all the developers on Farrington Park, but none offered quite as much value for money. With Stewart Milne you get a lot more: things like a utility room, walk-in wardrobes. The quality of the finish is better as well. With some house builders, they only paint up to the units. Here, everything is painted and it’s all of a consistent quality. There are no dodgy skirting boards either or anything like that.

Quality customer service as well
We did a part exchange and Stewart Milne were brilliant. They made everything really easy. When our solicitors lost our details or were slow to respond, Shirley rang them every day to chase them. She even rang us on her day off to let us know how things were progressing. At one point we didn’t have any internet and she printed off the documents, got them signed and emailed them to our solicitors. She was that helpful; amazing!

Would I recommend Stewart Milne Homes?
Absolutely! I would certainly recommend them. They’re brilliant. They build really good homes at a very reasonable price for what you get. The area is brilliant and the service is as well. That’s why I’d recommend them.
