I love the design and finish of my lovely, little house. Rather than just having a row of similar houses, on my phase they’ve managed to create little pockets of terraced homes, lovely, landscaped areas and mews houses in the middle. They’ve given thought to how it’s all positioned, so every single house benefits from at least one beautiful view from a window. It’s a close walk into town, so it’s perfectly positioned, and the people who live here are friendly. For a brand-new development there’s already a sense of community.

Kathleen in the Sales Team paid a lot of attention to the people coming through the door searching for a new home. I was looking for a small property and she emailed me straightaway to say this home was coming back on the market, and to ask if I’d like to have a look. Later, I had concerns that it was on the edge of the development and there were some overgrown trees and bushes on the perimeter. At first, it was questionable whether they owned the land and whether it would be landscaped, but all of that was sorted out very quickly. They provided me with landscape drawings and shared their plans so I was very reassured. Even after moving in, the seven-day and twenty-eight-day snagging was followed up efficiently. The Site Team has been happy to help resolve any little issues that cropped up.

Stewart Milne Homes have given thought to the layout, what kind of appliances they put in, and even the positioning of the sockets. It all makes sense and is very versatile for the changes you would go through in life. I can see how, as our family grows, we can change the interior as they get older, and even after twenty to thirty years it will be the home we will be happy to retire in.

We enjoy living in a quiet corner of our development. We’re surrounded by detached houses, so our neighbours are mostly in a similar situation as us; either expecting, having small children, or having young families. That makes it feel safe and friendly living here. Being on the outskirts of a town, everything is walkable, so we’re not far away from amenities and the local parks. The town is in a good catchment area as well, which is great for our family.

Stewart Milne Homes has ensured we’re well connected.
Although it’s a quiet, countrified area, we’re close to the town itself. We’re a five-minute walk away from the centre, which provides restaurants, coffee shops, a Spar, a GP surgery and a dentist. I came from a bigger area, but I’ve settled in very well; it’s a really friendly place.
The commute here is great. Perth and Stirling are very nearby; it only takes a couple of minutes to get to the motorway. Their bus service is excellent as well. We still use our cars, but if we had to stop, everything would be on our doorstep.

Properties aren’t close or up against each other and the common areas are well looked after. Trees contribute to the landscaping, as well as the lawns and bedding plants. We have lovely views of countryside hills; greenery surrounds us.

Workmen fix our problems quickly. When we last needed them, we went to the site office, and they immediately sent someone over. Billy, the site manager, and Robert, the workforce manager, oversaw this. Kathleen and the other people in the sales office are all fantastic, as they check on you and go the extra mile to ensure you’re happy.

My home in Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder adds to my quality of life.

I love the layout of the plots.
A variety of house styles are together, so I think Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder is set out well. The properties aren’t uniform, but they’ve been put in sections, so it’s like a group of mini communities. I can become friendly with my neighbours easily, as we have our own area. We’re within walking distance to the centre of town, therefore our village is very desirable. If I need something from the shops, I can walk. I instantly felt like a part of the community.

The design of my house is great.
Every room is well proportioned and set out with a lot of storage and light. When I open my curtains, I have a lovely view of the countryside hills. I was worried about the quantity of snags I’d have because it’s a new build, but the staff have been quick to come and fix things. My experience has been very pain-free.

… because the process has been extremely smooth and the build quality is great. I know people who have had a lot of problems with other new builds, but I haven’t had anything major at all.

I’m just a 15 minute drive from Perth and Stirling and it’s an hour's commute to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee so it’s a really central location. If it’s the countryside you’re looking for then you don’t have to go very far and there are a lot of lovely walks almost on the doorstep. The development itself is quite small and the houses are all different, that’s one of the things which made me want to buy here, a lot of new build developments can look all the same but as there are a number of differently designed houses on each street, there’s a bit of an individual feel.

It’s within walking distance to the shops and all the amenities around. The local school is one of the top rated ones in Scotland and my older children can easily walk themselves there. Before I moved here, I visited the development a few times and the small town feeling of it really appealed to me. The people I saw were polite and friendly and that made me feel quite secure about buying my new home here. Hunter's Meadow has attracted a lot of families and it feels very safe, the kind of place you can let your children go out to play and where people will keep a friendly eye on them.

My house was in a great condition when I moved in and so I could settle in right away. All the houses are bright and I love the big, long hallway I have, it really gives a sense of space. The en-suite is a great addition, especially with an older family, and I think a lot of thought has gone into the designs so they suit modern family living really well.

We moved close by here almost two years ago and we knew friends from the area that said it was a really nice place because of the community. It has a good reputation. We don’t have kids, but it’s kid friendly here. I work with the schools in the area, so I know they are really good. We’re close to the town, Perth, Glasgow and the countryside. There are farms around us and we’re only about a forty-five minute drive from the Highlands, so we’re able to walk there every weekend, taking our dogs out into the hills. It’s great.

I love the spaciousness of Hunter’s Meadow and how it fits in with the landscape. As you enter, the feeling you get is that it’s not cramped. It’s appealing to look at, and with the way it’s been laid out no one is on top of each other. The town is conveniently in walking distance and has everything I need on a day to day basis; the local area is lovely.

We have the Highlands in the north and Edinburgh in the south, so we’re bang in the middle of both worlds. There’s beautiful scenery around us with rolling hills. The village is a beautiful place. There’s a good school here, with good shops and it’s convenient with the supermarkets in Perth. You can have anything you need in under twenty minutes.
