“We’ve had quite a good experience with Stewart Milne Homes”.
“Monarch’s Rise is a nice, quiet development on the outskirts of town”.
The location is good for us as a family, as we’re situated between two schools our children can go to, and for shopping we can easily drive into town. There is also a separate road to enter the development, so we really don’t have any outside traffic. We love living in our big, detached house, quite far into the development. We’re enjoying the quiet nights and weekends. What they’ve completed has a good layout, is lovely to look at, and is well maintained. We’re looking forward to the completion of the ongoing building work.
“There is a lot they think about that you might not think of yourself”.
Our house is attractive, a good size and a good build, so we’re glad we went for it. There were even things included that would be considered extras with other house builders. It’s quite nice having lights on sensors in the front and back of the house, having an outdoor tap and even getting a doorbell installed before we moved in. The style of windows they chose is impressive as well, as they are multifunctional. It’s a good quality home.
“They were friendly and approachable”.
From the start, our salesperson, Andrea, went through everything from our initial interest, through the whole build. She was great the whole way through. We had excellent communication from her. She was easy to get hold of, and she would get back to us. Ryan the site agent has been pretty spot on in dealing with things. As you’d expect with new builds, we’ve had a few snags. They’ve all been resolved, so we’re very happy.
We think it’s good buying a new build when they are still building around it. If issues come up, you know there are people onsite to help you.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the customer service was good, they did everything they said they would, and we love our new home.
“Monarchs Rise is in a really quiet area with lovely houses and nice neighbours.”
“I love the design of it and the plans for the area around my house.”
The houses are all different designs and styles, but they have the same colour scheme, so they all fit together. I really like the fact I have an open area in front of my house where there won’t be any buildings, and that they will leave beautifully landscaped. We’re far from the main road and there isn’t a lot of traffic here. That, along with the triple glazing on our home, means it’s nice and peaceful.
“The only concern I had before I bought was about snagging.”
I’d heard horror stories about people moving into new build houses in general, but I didn’t need to worry. With our Site Manager, nothing is ever a problem. Anything we’ve reported has always been sorted.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the site team and sales team were good, and they were quite accommodating.
“The residents said Monarchs Rise was a neighbourly, quiet and cosy place to be and that gave me the confidence to buy here.”
“It was great to hear how happy people were with their new homes.”
When I was considering buying my home, I met a few of the residents who were very friendly and who introduced themselves. They told me how they enjoyed living here and how happy they were with their houses, they said it was a very neighbourly, quiet and cosy place to be which reassured me and it felt the right place to buy.
“Monarchs Rise feels a bit different from the usual new build developments, it’s got lots of character.”
It’s a very modern looking estate and all the houses have a different finish. It’s not all mono block and white like other developments and I think it’s got lots of character. It also feels very green and fresh and as well as being clean and quiet, the development is quite private.
“I’d previously lived in a city so it’s been refreshing to move to such a friendly area.”
The town is really nice and there’s lots more there than I first realised. The mainstream shops are nearby and even the people working in them are friendly, they say hi and have a little chat which is lovely. I’ve not been used to that and it’s something I welcome very much. There are lots of places to take children out and there are the open spaces for those who like to walk their dogs, it’s feels very safe here.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I’m very pleased with my new home, it’s in such a friendly place and Stewart Milne Homes has been very attentive to my needs.
“We love our little street; there are only so many houses on it so it’s lovely, quiet and not crowded.”
“When you first drive onto the development the houses look quite small, but as soon as you go inside, they’re bigger than you think.”
Moving from a flat, it’s nice to have a house and a garden looking out onto a pond. That makes it more private. We moved from an area with a lot of busy, main roads, and it’s great that it’s not like that here. I love when my daughter goes out to play, and before I didn’t trust the roads enough to be able to allow her to go out. Here, all the pathways are connected all the way round the development, so there’s only one small crossing to take when she sees her friends. That gives me great peace of mind. That fact it’s a building site was also a concern before we moved, but even though they are working four houses down from us we can only hear the odd noises. There’s nothing that would affect us living here.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because they are good houses which are a good size and in a good, quiet location.
“It’s a nice, quiet area on the edge of town, so you get the combination of being close enough to the town to be in it, but far enough away to have a wonderful, peaceful life.”
“We had a general concern about new build properties, versus existing properties.”
We’d never purchased a brand-new house and we saw articles in the press about poor workmanship. The homes on Monarchs Rise don’t even come close to that. We were happy to see that the quality of the buildings is very good. When we first moved in they gave us a tour around the house where we were shown how everything worked and in the first couple of months we had regular visits from the Site Manager. They made sure there were no issues with the house. Any small issues were resolved very, very quickly. If it wasn’t done in the same day, it was done in a couple of days.
“The general landscape gives a spacious feel to the area.”
We were looking to down-size and this is the perfect location for us. Driving into the main estate on our road there are grassy areas separating the road and pavement before the main gardens of the houses, so it doesn’t feel closed in. Even though they are building houses directly across the road, we hear very little noise because of the excellent insulation, and there isn’t much noise about anyway so it’s a very enjoyable and calm place to stay.
I’d recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I have had no problems with them.
The houses look very smart in the way they are finished off and the brickwork is set with different types of stone so they fit in nicely. The gardens are neat and it’s all very clean and tidy. With lots of parking, there aren’t many cars on the street and that adds to the look of the place. People may go past, or there may be children playing outside, but inside my house there isn’t really any noise at all.
It’s very well insulated. I love the bathrooms; they are particularly well done with the high specification of the vanity and the mirrors, and the finish of it all with the tiles. The house is just the right size; even the garden is just big enough, so there isn’t too much to upkeep. Whether it’s my neighbours across the road or the neighbours that walk down the street, everybody seems to say “hello” here. That’s just what you want moving somewhere new. It’s easy to settle in with nice people around you.
We absolutely love our new house on Monarch’s Rise; it’s light, airy, warm and spacious. When we moved in all of our neighbours were very welcoming. They asked how we were getting on and how we liked our new home. A lot of them were new in as well, so they shared their experience of moving in with us. They said that if there was anything we needed, we could just give them a shout.
