On the doorstep of Brackenhill Park, you’ll also find the natural beauty and tranquillity of the South Lanarkshire countryside and access to the Clyde Valley Tourist Driving Route with its 42 miles of picturesque roads which follow the River Clyde and pass through some of the area’s prettiest villages along the way, making an interesting day out for the whole family.

For golfers, the impressive Hamilton Golf Course is nearby, and the area is bursting with sports and leisure activities to keep the whole family amused including Hamilton Water Palace, Hamilton Ice Rink and the famous Hamilton Park Race Course.


The development also has a good mix of local nursery, primary and secondary education nearby and that makes this area popular with families. Whilst not directly in its catchment, Hamilton Grammar confirm that pupils in the Brackenhill Park area should be able to successfully apply for placements.* The University of the West of Scotland also has a campus in the town which offers a diverse range of courses, creating exciting opportunities for all ages.

Transport links

Three district train stations - at Hamilton Central, Hamilton West and Chatelherault - provide frequent services to and from Glasgow and the rest of the central belt. A good bus network provides access across the region. Motorway links include the M74 and the M8 which make travel to and from Glasgow and beyond straightforward.
