Finally I have my own front door...
Moving from a flat, I wanted my own space with my own garden and front door; and that’s exactly what I’ve got at Leathan Wood. 

Far from the madding crowd
I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and not have neighbours living on top of me.  Leathan Wood proved to be the perfect location.  It’s nice and quiet in a really nice area.  I’m in a cul de sac so there’s no through traffic.  It’s just so peaceful compared to city-centre living.  And even though I don’t have family, I can see how it would work for family life.  It’s very family oriented.   

I really wanted a south-facing garden and a garage; that was important to me.  This house was in the right place at the right time.  But what also swung it for me was the main bedroom with its walk-in wardrobe.  The fact that there’s plenty of storage was a big plus point. 

Friendly and helpful staff
Everyone I’ve dealt with has been really friendly and helpful.  From choosing tiles and flooring to helping me when a drain got blocked up, everyone’s been open in their dealings with me and done everything possible to get things sorted out. 

Making the right choice with Stewart Milne
It was really good to see how the choices you make all come together.  Lindsey was so helpful in giving me advice on what went well, what didn’t.   And it worked!  They’re all good choices.  Buying off plan, it’s always a little bit of the unknown, but once I saw my new home I was more than happy.   

I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes
I would definitely recommend Stewart Milne, because everything was more or less plain sailing.  I’ve had no big hassles.  Even when there was an issue with my fence having to be shorter than originally stipulated in the plan, Stewart Milne spent time and money putting up trellises and planting trees.  It would have taken me years to do that.  That’s why I’d recommend them.

I’ve bought new houses before, but it’s never been so stress free as with Stewart Milne...
It was a complete reversal of my preconceptions.  Stewart Milne did everything they needed to do to ensure the move went smoothly.  They really pulled the stops out.

Staff that go the extra mile and take everything in their stride
I have confidence in what I say because this is the fourth new build that I’ve bought, so when I say that Lindsey was the best sales advisor I’ve ever dealt with, you can believe it.  She was clearly putting in extra hours for Stewart Milne, even though she’s got a young family.  She seemed to take real joy in her work and became more like a friend.  Even when we had to delay handover by a week, it wasn’t a problem.  She took it in her stride and ensured that everything went smoothly.

Making an entrance
Some house builders try to crush in as much as possible, but then don’t leave you enough living space; not so with Stewart Milne.  We have a really nice, wide entrance space.  Another developer might see that as non-essential, but Stewart Milne understand how homes work and what families want.  It makes such a difference to have that space, rather than just walk straight into the rooms.

Fantastic family move-in package
We had our back garden turfed and fenced as part of our move-in deal, which was just perfect because we’ve got two dogs.  Some house builders might just turf the front and leave the back as mud, which would have been no good at all.  We got carpets included as well.  It was great; we could just move in.

Leathan Wood is brilliant for families
I was concerned that the schools might be full, but the local primary took our son on, no problem.  Kids can just walk straight in.  That’s an important consideration when moving a family.  We also like that we can head off to the beaches of an evening or weekend.  Leathan Woods feels more family-oriented than where we lived before.  It gives me more family time at home and a better quality of life.

We’d just got married and were delighted to find our ‘life time’ house...
We were looking at 2, 3 and 4-bedroom houses, but it was the size of the house – as well as the quality – that clinched the deal.

‘All-inclusive’ offer a boon for first-time buyers
We worked out with Lynsey, Stewart Milne’s sales advisor that going for four bedrooms made the most sense. And being first-time buyers, having the house fully fitted, carpeted and painted as part of the deal really helped as well. No other builders were offering that. As a result, we’ve got a home that we hope will be good for us for the next 20 to 30 years at least.

Brilliant customer service from the beginning...
Lynsey did everything she could for us. She kept us up-to-date and sought advice from others within Stewart Milne to help us. She basically did everything she could to ensure that this was the right house for us and to make it doable so that we could buy it.

The aftercare is very good as well. You ring up and they get back to you – at a time that’s convenient for you – which we really appreciate. Whey they say they’ll do something they do it.

We would definitely recommend Stewart Milne; in fact we already have
We would definitely recommend Stewart Milne, for their offers and level of customer service. We’ve told a good few people already and some close friends of ours have just bought a house up the road. You can’t ask for a better recommendation than that.
