Den View, Kingswells
We’re building at Den View for a simple reason: the area’s perfect for enjoying life to the full
Close to the old village of Kingswells, but just a few miles from the heart of the City of Aberdeen, Den View has the feeling of a peaceful, safe and secure environment. Kingswells is a well-established residential area, with a great sense of community and many paths and walkways designed for cycling, jogging or just a leisurely stroll. There are even areas suitable for horse-riding, with several DIY livery stables in close proximity to Kingswells. Find out more about the local area
Den View is comprised of a varied selection of homes, designed specifically for this development so as to stay in keeping with the existing landscaping. All of the homes are spacious, light and designed with luxury living in mind.

“Den View is very modern, homely and family oriented.”
“It’s attractive, brand new, and built for families.”
The whole site is bright and the white and the houses look clean and fresh. It has an open, green layout that’s safe; I can always see where my little one is playing. From what they’ve been telling us, they’re building a little wooden-themed play area further down with swings and other play equipment; that will be key for us and the children.
“The homes here are open and spacious.”
We’re a very homely family. If I’m cooking, my daughter can be running through the lounge, or she can come through the kitchen/dining area and I can always keep an eye on her. There’s a lot of room for her to play. We’re a busy household so it’s good to know she’s safe without having to move back and forth so much.
“It’s a really warm, friendly neighbourhood.”
We live in a block of four and I’ve met a lot of my neighbours. We’re all around the same age and although we’re all quite busy working we’ve talked about trying to meet up some time. The staff on site are all really friendly as well, from the builders to the site manager and everyone else. They all stop for a blether, so it’s nice. They are still working on the houses here and it’s going up so fast. It’s nice to watch.
“We’re in the city but we feel like we’re in the country.”
We’ve got the best of both worlds here. We have the essentials like shops within walking distance. There’s a leisure complex that you can walk to in five to ten minutes. In the complex there’s an Asda, a hairdresser and a community centre that does an awful lot. They’ve got mother and toddler groups, fitness groups and a church. It’s a busy little village. There are heaps of other places for us to walk and cycle to as a family. It’s one of those little villages where people can use woodland trails going off in different directions. We’ve been exploring ever since we got here. The cycle path going down to the park is convenient too and it’s all great to help you stay fit. Down a way there’s a little farm and our little one likes to see the sheep and cows. Living in a city before we never had the opportunity to do something like that.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because they were friendly, professional and kept us informed. They were good to deal with.

“When we came to see our house at Den View, it perfectly matched what we wanted in a home.”
“The development is still ongoing, but I can see that they are building a mix of different styles of houses, so they aren’t all carbon copies of the next.”
That makes it all look more interesting. We’re in a nice, quiet area on the edge of a big village, so we’re close to amenities, and we don’t feel like we’re in a busy town. The sales lady went through all the green zones they’re including on the site too, and there will be a lot of them. It’s great that they are including plants to encourage bees and wildlife. I already love the view of it from my home. It really feels like this is going to be a nice neighbourhood when it’s all finished.
“When I was looking to buy a new home I thought that you paid a premium and I’d heard horror stories about things going wrong.”
What I’ve realised now is that the cost of buying a new build is counteracted by all the support that you get. For example, when you buy an older house it’s up to you to put things right. Any issues we had were dealt with efficiently and smoothly.
“The people on the development have been fantastic.”
The sales manager, Rachael, has been excellent. I went to her with a four-page list of questions and she sat down and went through them all with me without making me feel like a nuisance. The site manager, Ronnie, has also been very good; he’s dealt with everything very quickly.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because of the level of service we have had from Rachael and Ronnie. They have been excellent no matter how many times we went to them, and they were very patient and honest with us.
