It can be a big risk buying a new build, especially if you’ve never bought one before, which was our situation. You can’t be sure how much space you’ll get…
But now we’ve moved in, it’s a weight off our shoulders. We’ve got a lot more space than before.
You get a lot of space for your money
We’ve got a semi-detached, three-bedroom house. We really like the size and shape of it. The rooms are cosy and it’s got a nice dining room. It’s also got a good-sized garden, which, with two small children, was important. We didn’t have a garden with our old house, so that was a priority for us. It’s so nice being able to relax out there, watching the kids play on the trampoline.
Strathearn View is a good place for families
When we first looked round, there were lots of kids playing round about. We could see that our children would settle in well here. I’d also heard good things about the development from others who live locally and you can’t get a better recommendation than that. Certainly, based on our experience, the neighbours are really friendly.
Having staff on site really makes a difference
Mary works in the show room on site and was always helping us out. Ian, the site manager, was very helpful as well. They both made it really easy for us. Any questions we had, they helped us out. We were under a lot of pressure to get a place quickly and with their help it was quite easy and quickly done.

We hadn’t bought a new property before but we knew it would give us lots of benefits like good insulation...

We like the flexible layout of the house very much
We chose our house in particular because we very much like the layout of the property, especially the kitchen and the flow from the kitchen into the garden. The space is very flexible and can be used in many ways.
The countryside location appealed to us
We also like the countryside location and the community which is big enough to have all the amenities that you would want.
A simple and straightforward purchase and very helpful staff
