Fernyhalgh Wood covers over 11 acres and is the perfect spot for a woodland walk. Masons Wood, meanwhile, is one of the Woodlands Trust top ten bluebell woods with a fabulous network of paths through beautiful surroundings. 

The Guild Wheel is a 21-mile walking and cycling route which encompasses Preston, offering the perfect link between city and green spaces, and access to nature reserves and other local attractions.

Every September, the Lancashire Encounter Festival attracts a host of visitors in locations across the area to celebrate the county’s arts and culture and, in the same month, the North West community unites for Preston Pride to support the region’s LGBTQ community.

Preston’s Blue Plaque Trail showcases the most memorable people and places in the city’s history while the historic Hoghton Tower manor house on the outskirts of Preston provides some of the best views available of Lancashire.

Preston railway station is one of the major stops on the West Coast Main Line and positioned half-way between London Euston and Glasgow Central is ideal for passengers heading north and south.

For commuters, Fulwood has excellent motorways – it’s close to both the M6 and M55 motorways – and is around an hour’s drive from other major cities including Liverpool and Manchester.

There is an excellent choice of primary and secondary schools available in the area including Fulwood and Cadley Primary School, Harris Primary School, Corpus Christi Catholic High School and Fulwood Academy.
