The houses are all different designs and styles, but they have the same colour scheme, so they all fit together. I really like the fact I have an open area in front of my house where there won’t be any buildings, and that they will leave beautifully landscaped. We’re far from the main road and there isn’t a lot of traffic here. That, along with the triple glazing on our home, means it’s nice and peaceful.

I’d heard horror stories about people moving into new build houses in general, but I didn’t need to worry. With our Site Manager, nothing is ever a problem. Anything we’ve reported has always been sorted.

I was happy with the quick time frame of getting in, and it was good to have regular contact from them throughout. Letham Views itself suits my lifestyle. It’s peaceful, and there are parks around us, so we have a lot of places to walk. There are also plenty of shops that aren’t too far away.

There are beautiful views of sloping land and you don’t feel enclosed by lots of houses. We live on the outskirts of the village where we have the reservoir and woodland on our doorstep, which is great because we have 2 dogs and I like to go walking and running.

We’re very happy with the area.
Dargavel Village is set in an amazing location, which we visited multiple times before putting our names down on the plot. Scotland isn’t our home country but, when we moved here, we knew we wanted to be in a more rural setting; that’s why we chose here. Transport links are good, yet it’s out of town and close to the country. The way of life we intended to have has been fulfilled by this area.

The hills can be seen out of our windows as we’re set back; we also have a view of some lovely duck ponds. Going on walks and removing myself from heavily developed areas is a passion of mine because it’s important to get fresh air, even if we need to be closer to a town as well. Less noise occurs at Dargavel Village as we’re separate from the motorway; it feels like a decent area.
Our concerns have been allayed.
Extra building around us was a worry of ours, but there was none. They are building not too far away from us, but we’re not affected by it. The home is in a little square and the house opposite us was due to be finished last, so we had reservations in how long it’d take, but it was resolved quickly. Also, during the process, we were told what the situation would be.

… because, in the grand scheme of things, there have been no issues. Everything went really smoothly and I’m happy with how the build of the house looks. Nothing in the house feels cheap, which is good as we were concerned that things could feel that way. We also got good value for what we were paying.

“One of the reasons we chose to move, was to have bigger bedrooms for our children as they grow up, and we managed to achieve that with this design.”
They had a range of options to suit various customer needs, with homes ranging from three, to four and five-bedroom homes. Some homes also came with the option of a second living area that could be chosen to meet individual needs, such as a TV room, dining room or toy room for the children. We chose the toy room.

I like the design of the paths we can walk on to access the various parts of the development, and they are building a play park for the children too. It will be nice to have a nice, large, communal grass area that the whole community can use in the summer.
“Brackenhill Park has all the essential amenities and transport links for pleasure or for commuting to work.”
The local area is part of what made this home the right choice for us. There are two accessible railway stations, a bus station and shops nearby to get supplies. There are also a lot of restaurants close by to enjoy.

...because the house designs are really nice and attractive and it's a nice area to reside in.
