COVID-19 Stewart Milne Homes Scotland Statement

 

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy.

As you will be aware, the Scottish Government has announced that the whole of mainland Scotland have been moved into Level 4 restrictions which came into effect on Saturday 26th December 2020. Following the further announcement on 19th January 2021, these restrictions will be in place until at least mid- February with a further review set for 2nd February 2021.

Adhering with the latest Scottish Government guidelines, we continue to adapt our procedures to ensure we protect the health of you, our customers, as well as our employees and subcontractors.

Whilst an area is in Level 4, we can only attend your home for emergency issues and for works that are outside your home.

Examples of an emergency issue are –

  • Complete failure of the heating systems and/or hot water system
  • A water leak or flooding that cannot be contained
  • A complete failure of the electrics
  • Flooding caused by blocked drains that threatens to enter your home
  • Security – a fault to a window or external door causing a loss of security to your home

 

As the Customer Services team continue to work from home/remotely, if you have an emergency during working hours can you please contact the customer services team by email on customerservicessmhcs@stewartmilne.com for developments within the Central belt of Scotland or customerservicessmhns@stewartmilne.com for developments in the North detailing “EMERGENCY” within the subject line.

If you have an emergency overnight or during the weekend, then please call Property Response 24 Ltd on 0844 3247685

If we were scheduled to visit your home during the period of the current Level 4 restrictions, regrettably we will need to postpone this visit. We shall make further contact with you over the coming period to reschedule these works upon the lifting of the current restrictions

If you reside on a live development, you are likely to see construction works continuing. Please be assured we have robust policies and procedures in place to protect the health and safety of our employees/subcontractors and all construction activities will progress in adherence to the Scottish Government guidance
