“Lethan Green is unique, small and traditional.”
“Every development being built these days is large, full of semi-detached houses and with a Scandinavian-type build; that wasn’t what we were after.”
Lethan Green feels exclusive. Not only is each house detached, but everyone has their own garage. The style of our own home has an attractive stone frontage that makes it appealing to look at. Surrounding communal areas and gardens have been planted thoughtfully with hedging and a good mix of plants. Trees have been planted in every garden creating a green, lush environment that stands out above the others.
“We have the best of both worlds.”
We’re on the outskirts of the town, almost into the countryside, so we benefit from having local amenities as well as a rural atmosphere with open surroundings. Just outside of the development there will be community allotments and a wildflower garden, and there are already a few good walking areas close by that are ideal for taking our Dachshund and our new Jack Russell puppy out for walks. The puppy training centre will come in handy too, with its fenced in outdoor field where they can run and play.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because from Sales to Aftercare I can't fault them in any way. All the people I've dealt with have been approachable, contactable, and have gone above and beyond. I’m really happy.
Mary Forrest - Leathan Green
“It feels like we are living in a village, rather than just a brand-new development.”
“With winding streets and walkways Dargavel Village II makes us feel like we’re in a little pocket all on our own.”
This is a big development with a lot of different builders, but Stewart Milne Homes has built the nicest part. We’re off the main road through the development so we feel we’re away from it all. We’re also happy to be away from long, straight roads where every house is the same. Around us, we can see houses that are distinctive styles and sizes, and an area that’s been wonderfully well thought out.
It feels lovely living here with the green areas, the woodland reserve and the lake view.”
It’s exciting to see the wildlife around us. We’ve seen ducks and geese, and just outside our window the other day was a family of swans with their cygnets. There are a lot of nice walks through the development, and a bit further, where we can take our dog and enjoy walking under the mature trees they’ve left as part of the plan. The village square gives it a community feel with the seats placed outside of the shops, and there are plans to build more parks for everyone to use.
“The countryside is on our doorstep, but we’re also central for easy access.”
Living here is very handy for transport links. Glasgow City is a ten-minute drive, and we can also easily get to the coast. Although the motorway is handy, it’s also great to have a trainline available to the city for people who don’t drive or prefer not to.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because of the quality of the build, the staff I've dealt with so far and how well the whole development is done.
Mrs Karen Strachan - Dargavel Village
“Charleston is a lovely, quiet neighbourhood with a family atmosphere.”
“There are a lot of other families with children here, and all of the neighbours are very welcoming.”
As first-time buyers we were concerned about making the right decision for where we were going to live; this is just what we wanted. It’s child friendly with a lovely park next door that will be perfect for my baby now, as she’s just over a year old, and when she gets older. Being positioned in the middle of the development we don’t have much background noise, like you would have living near a main road, so it’s more peaceful. There is also a local music class that a lot of local families attend, and there are a lot of nice walks for us to go on in the surrounding areas too. It’s a lovely community and a really nice place to live.
“We’re very happy with the house itself.”
The quality of the build is excellent, and it’s designed with a nice, open-plan, very well-built kitchen. Outside of the house we can enjoy our garden as a family, and we have the added benefit of the privacy the surrounding wall gives us. A charging point hadn't been done before, but they were willing to look into it and they managed to lay all of the wiring for us. It’s exactly what we were looking for.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the builder and the Site Manager were involved in the process throughout, and the Sales Consultant was here to update us in a timely fashion. We're pleased with the quality, and they were able to adapt it to the environment.
Mr Martin Gannon - Charleston
“Stewart Milne Homes have a good reputation and we weren’t disappointed”.
“I think that Ballumbie Rise is unique”.
All of the houses are different; some have brickwork, others don’t. It’s unusual in this area to walk along the street and see a row of houses that don’t look the same. The properties are different shapes, sizes and colours, which makes the development attractive. We were concerned that there wouldn’t be enough room on the driveway, but now we’re in, we know there’s ample space. Ballumbie Rise is modern and allows for easy living.
Although it’s unfinished, Stewart Milne Homes take every opportunity to fix the road. Other places wait until the development is almost totally finished before putting the paths and roads in, but they’ve been considerate with doing the roads and keeping the building work away from us since we’ve moved in.
“The process has been a good experience”.
Stewart Milne Homes stuck to our entry date, despite being four or five weeks ahead of schedule, which was great. They engaged with us; this allowed us to move sockets and pick flooring. If we didn’t buy a new home, we'd have had to have done everything ourselves.
Completion day went smoothly and the personal touches were very nice; we got a lovely card with a small hamper and some flowers. Moving in was important to me, as it meant everything would be covered by the ten-year warranty, even though it was all up to date. This made us feel as though we were welcome on Ballumbie Rise. It was the start of a great aftersales service.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because we loved our experience; we couldn’t find any fault with it.
Sylvia Rennie - Ballumbie Rise
“Palladian Gardens is in a country location that’s safe, quiet and lovely for families.”
“We were house hunting for quite a while, so we were excited when we found this.”
Our development is spacious the way the roads are set out, and inside the houses even the doorways are wider than any other homes we looked at, making the homes feel much bigger. We used to live on a busy road and there weren’t many children in the houses around us, so our son was inside every day. Living on a cul-de-sac has changed that. Now, he goes out every day and all the children can safely play outside together.
“We’ve been very well supported.”
The lady who sold us our house, Rose, was amazing. She still makes herself available if we have any worries. The onsite team are also quite responsive. We’ve had a few normal building issues, like you’d expect, and they’ve sent people out and they got them done. If we contact them, we always get a response. Rose has bought a house on the site as well. That just goes to show that this was the right move.
Where we live, there's a route about 20 miles long called The Wirral Way. It's mostly old railway tracks which is popular to walkers, who travel to go there. The development backs onto it, so within a few minutes we are on it. People have to travel to get there. We are linked to the next village along by a country track, we go on bikes with the kids without having to walk on the road.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because of the difference in quality between this and other new builds, and our confidence that if there is something wrong it will be sorted.
Mrs Katy McCann - Palladian Gardens
“We can’t find any faults with Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder.”
Stewart Milne Homes has ensured we’re well connected.
Although it’s a quiet, countrified area, we’re close to the town itself. We’re a five-minute walk away from the centre, which provides restaurants, coffee shops, a Spar, a GP surgery and a dentist. I came from a bigger area, but I’ve settled in very well; it’s a really friendly place.
The commute here is great. Perth and Stirling are very nearby; it only takes a couple of minutes to get to the motorway. Their bus service is excellent as well. We still use our cars, but if we had to stop, everything would be on our doorstep.
“Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder is well laid out”.
Properties aren’t close or up against each other and the common areas are well looked after. Trees contribute to the landscaping, as well as the lawns and bedding plants. We have lovely views of countryside hills; greenery surrounds us.
“The staff are really first class”.
Workmen fix our problems quickly. When we last needed them, we went to the site office, and they immediately sent someone over. Billy, the site manager, and Robert, the workforce manager, oversaw this. Kathleen and the other people in the sales office are all fantastic, as they check on you and go the extra mile to ensure you’re happy.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because of the development’s situation; it’s surrounded by quietness and countryside. I also love the quality of the house.
William Hughes - Hunter's Meadow
“Our lovely house reflects the service Stewart Milne Homes provides; we’ve had the full package and we haven’t had any hiccups.”
“We’re a family of five, so we need the room.”
The children are all around the same age, so we wanted everyone to have their own personal space. Now we’re in, it’s quite easy to live here and it’s good for our family. There’s open space in front of our house, and a park close by for the children to run around in. It’s great for walking our English Bulldog puppy too! Being close to a really good school is also a big factor because I can easily walk there within ten to fifteen minutes in the morning.
“The houses are all built to a high specification.”
I’d read before that the room sizes in new build houses were quite small, but I haven’t found that here. We can comfortably fit a king-size bed and chest of drawers in ours. Each bedroom has built-in wardrobes, and the bathrooms have massive mirrors and waterfall showers, the majority being double showers. The kitchen appliances are all very modern, with a built-in microwave and oven, and we love the design with the lovely bay windows.
“From start to finish it was just a very easy process.”
There were a lot of other new builds in the area, but we found Stewart Milne Homes had a lot of positive feedback on social media. When we got there, we found it simple because Sue in Sales talked us through everything. Beforehand I was worried about the aftercare, but it’s all been positive. They are particularly good at prioritising and sorting out important things quickly. When I raised a fault with the water tank, someone was out the next day to fix it. There are just a couple of things outstanding now, and they’re more cosmetic. I’m very happy with their service.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because I think everything has gone to plan. They have good packages to entice you in and they have a part-exchange service. The specification of the house is really good and modern.
Miss Natalie Briggs-Hadley -
My home in Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder adds to my quality of life.
I love the layout of the plots.
A variety of house styles are together, so I think Hunter’s Meadow II, Auchterarder is set out well. The properties aren’t uniform, but they’ve been put in sections, so it’s like a group of mini communities. I can become friendly with my neighbours easily, as we have our own area. We’re within walking distance to the centre of town, therefore our village is very desirable. If I need something from the shops, I can walk. I instantly felt like a part of the community.
The design of my house is great.
Every room is well proportioned and set out with a lot of storage and light. When I open my curtains, I have a lovely view of the countryside hills. I was worried about the quantity of snags I’d have because it’s a new build, but the staff have been quick to come and fix things. My experience has been very pain-free.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the process has been extremely smooth and the build quality is great. I know people who have had a lot of problems with other new builds, but I haven’t had anything major at all.
Paul Allaker - Hunter's Meadow
“If you’re looking for peace and quiet, Charleston, Cove is certainly a place that offers that”.
Considering the area is built up, it’s very tranquil.
Charleston, Cove is very peaceful at nighttime; I can hear a pin drop. My wife and I used to live near busy roads and escaping the noise of trucks was difficult. Where we are now is totally removed from that experience; calmness was a big thing we were looking for. It doesn’t feel like there are a lot of houses. It does get busier over the weekend, but that’s nice to hear; there’s a decent mix of young families and professionals. The folks we’ve met are pleasant and upstanding. Even though it’s quiet, there’s a ‘Go Slow’ zone near the roundabout, so we never have cars zooming past.
“Charleston, Cove is a nice place to stay”.
It’s a suburban area in the south of Aberdeen that we were familiar with. We were looking for a house with a great vibe that wasn’t on the street, which is what we found. A lot of the homes vary from each other, so it’s not same old, same old. At the back, there’s a big parking area with designated spaces. Walking through the back gate, you can find a trail which avoids the main thoroughfare.
There are lovely walks in the area.
Being the southernmost development in Aberdeen means there’s a gap between us and the next town with woodland and open fields, which is great as they lead to the harbour and the coast. The coast is a 15-minute walk away and our favourite restaurant overlooks it. It’s amazing that everything is so close.
“Sitting in the back garden is a revolutionary experience”.
My favourite feature is having our own back garden. I’ve definitely taken advantage of it. I’ve used this garden more in 3 months than I used my previous one in 10 years. Here, I can open my patio doors in the kitchen and walk barefoot through the grass.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because they pick good areas to build in, especially in Aberdeen. People are happy to live here. Carol and Finn kept us really relaxed. This is our first new build and all the information they provided moved the purchase on for us.
Mr Andrew Hume - Charleston
“It felt like home straight away, which is really good.”
“Before I bought, I’d heard Stewart Milne Homes was a good house builder, that their quality of build was really good”.
When I spoke to my sales consultant, Alison, she explained everything about the house and the estate, and since I’ve moved in, I’ve enjoyed living here. It’s a good-looking estate with a mixture of green areas. The houses have a good quality finish and are nicely spaced out. It’s also spacious with the addition of driveways and sizeable back gardens, especially compared to other new build estates I’ve seen.
It’s a great location.
I’m living beside a nice golf course, and it’s convenient to have local shops, a gym and schools nearby. We have access to doctors and dentists, and there’s good public transport with the development situated on a main bus route. Dundee is only a ten-minute journey away.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because of their great customer service, their ability to fix things quickly, the quality of the houses, and how good the estate looks so far.
Mr Stuart Allan - Ballumbie Rise
“Coulter’s Brae is a delightful community set in a charming little village”.
“I love living somewhere with a lot of character and history”.
Coulter’s Brae is a small development in the countryside with lovely views and walks, and its horseshoe shape is very pretty and well thought out. Having lived in a cottage in Carmunnock many years ago, I can see the nod to a country cottage in the design of my home. Details like the lead on the windows give it an olde worlde village feel. There’s a small selection of predominantly individual, detached houses as you come into the development, providing a view onto the fields. Further in, the two-storey apartment block is at the very top. They knew the apartments would be sought after by a more mature age group, and the houses would be for younger families. What’s good is they’ve designed it so we can each have our individual space, but still be part of the wider community.
“I’d compliment them on the fact that they’ve taken the trouble to include a lift in a two-storey apartment block”.
As a mobility scooter user, if I wanted to chat to a neighbour upstairs, they’ve made it relatively barrier free. Considering the age of the residents in the building, they’ve thought about their future needs and that’s a real plus.
“Stewart Milne Homes understood our position, and that was much appreciated”.
I want to acknowledge the people we’ve worked with. During the Legal process, when our lawyers and the people buying our house were dragging their heels, they were patient and they allowed us more time. The managers in the office didn’t harass us to sign the missives. Sandra Rankin in sales couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful, and she allowed us in to get things measured up when we wanted to. The Site Manager, Paul, and the Assistant Site Manager, Kyle, have done everything we’ve asked them to.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because of the friendliness of the people I’ve dealt with. They've been very pleasant and approachable.
Mrs Isobel Patricia Dinwoodie -
“We’ve had quite a good experience with Stewart Milne Homes”.
“Monarch’s Rise is a nice, quiet development on the outskirts of town”.
The location is good for us as a family, as we’re situated between two schools our children can go to, and for shopping we can easily drive into town. There is also a separate road to enter the development, so we really don’t have any outside traffic. We love living in our big, detached house, quite far into the development. We’re enjoying the quiet nights and weekends. What they’ve completed has a good layout, is lovely to look at, and is well maintained. We’re looking forward to the completion of the ongoing building work.
“There is a lot they think about that you might not think of yourself”.
Our house is attractive, a good size and a good build, so we’re glad we went for it. There were even things included that would be considered extras with other house builders. It’s quite nice having lights on sensors in the front and back of the house, having an outdoor tap and even getting a doorbell installed before we moved in. The style of windows they chose is impressive as well, as they are multifunctional. It’s a good quality home.
“They were friendly and approachable”.
From the start, our salesperson, Andrea, went through everything from our initial interest, through the whole build. She was great the whole way through. We had excellent communication from her. She was easy to get hold of, and she would get back to us. Ryan the site agent has been pretty spot on in dealing with things. As you’d expect with new builds, we’ve had a few snags. They’ve all been resolved, so we’re very happy.
We think it’s good buying a new build when they are still building around it. If issues come up, you know there are people onsite to help you.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the customer service was good, they did everything they said they would, and we love our new home.
Mr Tony Hardy and Ms Leanne Cullen - Monarch's Rise
“Calderwood III is very picturesque, with a scenic feel.”
“We were looking for a family environment.”
Our home is in its own little area away from the main road, and there isn’t a lot of traffic in the area. Around us the tree-lined streets are filled with modern, clean, well-designed houses, so it all looks very pretty. It’s a nice, quiet place with a friendly atmosphere.
“We didn’t have any concerns.”
We were able to see the show home, and the staff were friendly and approachable. They made sure we were kept well informed. Now that we’ve moved in, Andy the building manager has been good in coming to check in on us now and again, and he’s a really nice guy.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because it's a lovely house and it’s a good quality build.
Mr Andrew Campbell -
“Coulter’s Brae is quite a small development, so it’s more exclusive.”
“We’re tucked away in a green, leafy, rural area in a conservation village.”
We knew this location as we lived here before - twenty years ago, so it’s been nice to move here again and purchase a new property. The location is handy for everything like shopping, amenities and transport, and there is a really nice community here.
“I know my home will hold its value - we’re not living on a massive development with hundreds of properties.”
It looks good and feels good living here. The three-bedroom flat we’re living in is spacious and luxurious. We have a big, bright, airy lounge and a lovely balcony to sit out on. The lift in the building will also be nice and convenient once they’ve finished fitting it.
“They are courteous to people who have moved in already.”
There is still a bit of construction ongoing, and the guys here are really considerate and nice. Whenever we contact the site manager about anything, he’s great. He’ll have his team around the same day to sort out any issues.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because it's been a very good house buying experience.
Ms Linda Shields -
“Moving from a 1970’s home to a flat has been something new for me, but it’s definitely been the right decision.”
‘I’ve got a flat which is nice and open and as it’s large, there’s plenty of living space.’
The rooms are a good size and the flat just suits me down to the ground; it is a comfortable place to be and has everything I need. Oswald Court is centrally located, it’s a modern and open development and it’s good to see that there are plenty of grassy areas around. My flat is on the top floor so the views I have are quite expansive. I look out over the roof tops and I can see the hills in the distance. I love being able to see for miles around and there is always something interesting to look at.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…I am very happy with my new home.
Mr Gordon Pooley -
“From start to finish I couldn’t fault Stewart Milne Homes, they’ve gone above and beyond with so many things.”
“Wrea Brook Park flows quite nicely; whenever I pull into it, it feels like a nice place to come home to.”
It’s very new, but already it’s nicely laid out and attractive. The roads are wide, there’s plenty of parking for every house and everyone will have landscaped gardens. I had concerns about the fact that it would be a building site, but it’s not been an issue. The builders start and finish at reasonable times, and the guys on-site have been so lovely and friendly. They’ve sorted out any issues they can. From the builders, to the Site Manager, to the Sales Team and those above, everyone’s done a lot for me. I’m very happy to be here.
“I liked everything about this development instantly; it’s everything I could have dreamed of.”
I’m in the countryside surrounded by farmland, so it’s peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. That was important to me. There are plenty of walks and places to explore, like down the country lanes. There’s a pub down the road, convenience stores and a butcher all within walking distance. I can walk to work and it’s just ten to fifteen minutes to the M55 and the M6. For a bigger town, Preston is nearby. On the coast there’s nightlife with wine bars and restaurants, but then I can come home to a peaceful place where there’s not much traffic. It’s perfect for me.
“Once I knew what Stewart Milne Homes included in their build, they stood out a mile ahead of anyone else.”
They’ve added bits that I’ve never seen before, such as a laundry centre. I have a place to store the washing machine, dryer, ironing boards and other bits and pieces. They’ve added a worktop and an extractor fan, and it’s all hidden behind folding doors, so once they’re closed, you’d never know it was there. I thought it was a very clever use of space. I also have a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom and a vanity unit in the bathroom, and it all comes as standard.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because I am more than happy with the house, I love the layout and the whole process has been made easier by Phil and the team at Stewart Milne.
A resident - Wrea Brook Park
“A lot of new builds look the same, but because of the variety of styles of homes on Bayley Croft there’s a lot to choose from.”
“My home is nice, spacious, and warm, and the development is big and airy.”
There is a good amount of space between the different houses, so we aren’t on top of each other, and the roads are laid out with pavements either side, so you don’t feel too close to the road either. Situated on the outskirts of Nantwich it’s quiet, and it’s a great place for walking. Being mid-way between Manchester and Birmingham, it’s perfect for our commute as my partner and I travel in opposite directions.
“The teams have looked after me.”
Paul in sales was brilliant throughout. There was always someone I could get in touch with to ask questions and he was a good point of contact whenever I needed someone to talk to. They’ve also made the effort to make sure the snagging, which was minor, was rectified in a timely manner. I feel very happy and like I’ve been very well looked after.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because of the style of the houses and Paul was really exceptional. We looked at four different new builds and this was the most impressive in terms of style, layout, and the price you pay. This is the best value all round.
Richard at Bayley Croft - Bayley Croft
“Spen View is a lovely, open, friendly estate.”
“A lot of new build estates have a claustrophobic feeling because the roads are narrow, and the houses are crammed in; Spen View doesn’t have that vibe.”
Here, there’s space. The houses are set back from the road, either with a parking space at the front, or a footpath and a little garden, and the landscaping is very nice. I don't feel overlooked. The way they’ve designed and situated the houses there's no one peering over the back fence. The development doesn't feel crowded at all.
“Congleton is a really nice area to live in with lovely countryside.”
With nice views and lots of places to walk, we have a local footpath running through the estate into the countryside. It will be nice to get some walks in the well-kept fields, farmland, and there's also a little wooded area.
“I work up and down the country, so it’s great that Spen View is in a central location.”
I’m close to the motorway, so having good access to the M6 means that one minute I can be in London and the next minute I can be in Glasgow. I’m also not that far from Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, and some nice parts of Cheshire.
“It was my first time buying a new build property.”
There was a change of sales staff when I bought, and Claire was absolutely fabulous. She showed me around and if I had any questions, I could just pick up the phone and ask. She always got back to me and was very accommodating. Later, the site team was very good too. When I moved in, I had a few issues and they got them sorted out pretty quickly – even with lockdown.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because they are really nice houses and they are quite spacious. They feel open, and out of all the house builders, that’s the reason I bought my home.
Mrs Philippa Norse -
‘Being able to choose things for my house was great. It gave my home more of a personal touch and I had what I liked without having to break the bank.’
‘The Stables is in a new, up and coming area, it’s a popular place to be and that was important to me.’
When it came to buying, I didn’t have any concerns. I bought in phase 4 and I’d seen a lot of the earlier phases being built so I knew about the construction. Although the development is pretty similar to other estates, I thought the homes in this area were good value for money and I’d also noticed that there weren’t a lot of houses up for sale, I think that’s a sign of how good an area is. I was interested to see that a lot of the environment around is currently being developed and I was keen to buy into an area early knowing the value would increase in time to come. Even though building work is currently in progress, disruption is kept to a minimum and it’s a pretty quiet place to be. There are plenty of walking paths around, along with farmland and as I’ve got a dog, that appealed to me. The Salt Line is a nice place to wander down where there are trails, a few nice pubs, independent restaurants and businesses.
‘The opportunity to customise a home isn’t something that every developer offers.’
I liked the way I could individualise my home and pick things like the kitchen units, bits in the bathroom and carpets. It meant my house felt like my home as soon as I moved in. I love the space in the kitchen and the large kitchen/diner is something that I’d not seen in other new houses. When my friend came to have a look at my house it sold itself, he was so impressed with what he saw that he instantly wanted one himself.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the homes are value for money, the finish is good, and it’s been quite an easy process.
Mr Nicholas Legg -
“They were clear on what I needed to do as a first-time buyer, so they made the process very easy.”
“If I hadn’t had the customer experience I had from them, I would have been very stressed.”
From Sales, to the Site Manager, to the Aftersales care, it’s all been very smooth. Paul was the person I dealt with most. He was really good and positive, and just a great person. When I called him on my day off, he returned my call. He was so personable, I felt like I made a friend.
“Bayley Croft is welcoming and pristine.”
When you drive onto the estate, it’s well presented. The homes are laid out in a way that makes living here feel private because you’re not overlooked, and it’s quiet. There are plans for a couple of little ponds and a play area, which will be nice for everyone. I also enjoy the friendly community here.
“The location is great.”
Situated in the nice, little village of Willaston, we’re not far from anything. The town centre is quite close. Just around the corner we have local shops, a chemist, a hairdresser, and a doctor. A larger supermarket is just a five-minute drive away, along with the vets.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the experience in itself was just excellent, from the day that I reserved the property to the day that I moved in.
Miss Katrina Cremin - Bayley Croft
