“We have a really peaceful plot on Brackenhill Park.”
“We have a south facing back garden with a woodland view, which is not overlooked.”
From where we previously lived, Brackenhill Park is so peaceful and quiet. Although the development is still on going, as the building works progress further from our home we are conscious of just how peaceful it is.
“One of the reasons we decided to buy on a new development was the fact that everyone would be new too.”
We liked that we would all be moving in fresh, so we could establish new relationships as neighbours on the street. Since we’ve been here everyone has been very helpful and nice. They’ve already set up the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and committees, so everything is going well.
“What stands out is the kerb appeal of the houses.”
The use of the light stonework is quite effective when you drive into the estate, and when you drive through you can see that each house is individual and slightly different, compared to other developers where the houses are exactly the same. There is a mix of Cotswold stone, red and black brickwork and some houses have grey, or light green, wood cladding at the top. I’m also looking forward to the walkways they have started putting in that will go around the whole of the development.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the overall finish is of a higher standard to other developers we viewed.
Mr Alan Hutchison - Brackenhill Park
“Stewart Milne Homes made it so easy; I found this house, part exchanged and moved in within five weeks.”
“I’d never seen them around Manchester, but I definitely want to get people involved with them.”
I bought my first house with a well-known, reputable builder, but that property just doesn’t come close to the finish and quality of this one. The staff are lovely, and Phil the sales guy was really good. I didn’t feel as comfortable when I was buying my last house as I did here. Phil was honest and reassuring, and if I had any concerns, he would get back to me straight away. He adapted his communication and customer service skills to me and my partner to suit each of us. Although I could have paid the fees, they offered me the part exchange deal and gave me a good price. They helped me from start to finish.
“You aren’t too far away from the city centre and everything there, but at the same time you’re in a nice, secluded meadow; it really is the best of both worlds.”
They’ve rightly called the area they built it in “the meadows”, because it’s in fitting with the area with landscaped gardens. At the start, it was reassuring to drive in just by the look of the site. The neighbours were always out in their gardens, smiling and waving, so it felt more like an established community. There’s a well-maintained child’s park, and they let the grass grow along in certain sections to be meadow-like, while leaving normal paths in other areas. I love the fact that the development has little car parks dotted all over. That means my family and friends can come to visit and I don’t have to worry about them parking. Even the houses feel next level because the quality and finish are excellent.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the process was so easy, the development has a nice, community feeling, and Phil was really good. I had family members who wanted to be shown around when I wasn't there. He would ring me and was really accommodating throughout the whole process.
Miss Faye Jones -
“Castle Gardens is quiet and in the country, but close enough to the village and local towns.”
“As you drive in, you see a pleasant landscaped entrance leading to the development”
Not only does Castle Gardens fit in with its surroundings, but the small estate is nicely spread out with a sense of openness between each home. The variety of house types, all having different styles and external brickwork is pleasing to the eye. The gardens are well proportioned. In common with many of the houses we have a beautiful view out onto open countryside.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because we’ve had a very positive house-buying experience. The sales staff and site staff have been excellent. We are delighted with our choice of home, which suits our needs perfectly.
Dr Alasdair Thomson and Mrs Antonia Thomson - Castle Gardens
“I didn’t have any concerns; Stewart Milne Homes was very well known locally, and they had a good reputation.”
There’s been a lot of thought put into the development. The streets are laid out, so everything is well spaced out, and we have quite good views out onto the countryside because of the placement houses and the fact that some plots are elevated. We don’t have a lot of traffic passing by, so it’s nice and peaceful here.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because of the ease of purchase and the quality of the build.
A Very Satisfied Customer -
“Stewart Milne Homes is a warm and friendly company to deal with and they do their very best to make sure everyone has a good purchasing experience.”
“I had a fantastic experience and that began from the minute I visited the show house.”
I had a look at a show house at another development and spoke to a lovely sales executive called Rose. I explained I wanted a certain style of house but I thought it might be out of my price range. She was incredibly helpful and explained everything to me. When this property came up, I reserved it the same day so I qualified for the early bird discount and as she put me in touch with a mortgage broker and solicitors everything was really done for me. Rose has been on hand, along with Sarah, to advise about things and everyone has been a pleasure to deal with.
“Palladian Gardens looks lovely and it’s been well thought out.”
The development is in a great location and when it’s finished it will look lovely. It’s been well thought out, close to transport links and is in a nice semi-rural area. My house overlooks a little green area at the front and when the development is completed, then it’s going to be very picturesque.
“The aftercare has been excellent, if there have been any issues they are dealt with quickly and efficiently.”
I’d heard stories about buying a new home, so I did have some concerns; people had said they weren’t very well built and had lots of issues but I’ve really not found that to be true. If any little snags have cropped up, they’ve been dealt with very quickly and efficiently and there’s been no argument about them at all. Dave, the site manager, has been great and he’s on hand which has been reassuring.
“I’ve just got a very nice house that suits all my needs”
There are lots of features you’d want in a modern house and it’s very family friendly too. I particularly like the en suite bathroom and dressing room but the utility room, kitchen/diner and downstairs toilet all come in very handy when people visit.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because it’s been such a nice experience, I’ve been looked after very well and I don’t feel that now I’ve paid my money, the company doesn’t want to know anymore - the good service continues even now I’ve moved in.
Ms Sarah Wright - Palladian Gardens
“It was the most painless buying experience.”
“I filled out the forms, and off they went; it was all done.”
When I was first buying it, I went through their solicitors and their mortgage person. We were first time buyers using the Help to Buy scheme, and we paid the deposit and the mortgage was done in one day. They did all the paperwork for us and just let us know what we needed to do. It was done in four weeks.
“My home is just beautiful.”
The finishing and furniture are amazing. Everything is top quality and they’ve designed it so it feels warm and homely, rather than boxy. Normally everything in a home is planned in straight lines, but because the doors are on little angles, even though it’s a modern build the rooms have more character.
There’s easy access to everything you need.
There are little bits here for the kids, but what’s great is that there is a big country park at the back, and they’ll be providing an open pathway to it. That’s really good if you have kids or want to walk dogs. On the other side, we have a pathway to a giant Sainsbury’s, so you can walk to the shop, come back with your shopping, and go out for a nice walk in the park.
“Upton Pines is peacefully situated, and the builders are amazing.”
Even though we have quite a busy supermarket nearby, and busy roads around, I can’t get over how quiet it is here, even with ongoing building work. The team onsite is really nice and lovely. They are polite and considerate, and they move out of the way for you. They also ensure the site is clean.
“Jamie, the deputy in charge, and the Aftercare team, are lovely.”
Jamie took us through how to use all the equipment and pointed out all the little things that would be touched up. He kept in touch, and everything we queried was sorted straight away. Even when I phoned the Aftercare line at 16:45 on Friday, they were still amazing. The girl on the phone rang around and the foreman came out.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I already have. I loved how quick and easy the service was and they've done a top-notch job on the finishes in the property.
Miss Christine Grace -
“Stewart Milne is a company that really cares, they are keen to help and support people as much as they can in the process of moving into their new home.”
“When you move into a new home it’s instantly yours, no one has lived there before and it’s all lovely and new.”
Although this is the first time I’ve moved into a new property I wasn’t worried about buying a brand new home. In fact I think you have more worries when you buy an older property as you have to start from the beginning to make the home yours. Whenever I’ve moved into pre-owned properties the first thing I’ve had to do is paint and perhaps change the kitchen so it was a real pleasure not having to do that this time. It was lovely having everything completely new and exactly how I wanted it to be. It meant I could just move in and unpack straightaway.
“Upton Pines is in a very convenient position, it’s within walking distance to the village.”
I’ve only moved a mile so I didn’t have to get used to new surroundings because I knew the area well. Upton Pines is close to Upton village and there are plenty of shops there. If I use the cut through in the development I can walk to the shopping centre in just 5 minutes which is great as I don’t have a car. Stewart Milne has even thought about the wildlife and they included a pond in the development, although it’s not possible to get to it just yet, it’s beginning to look very nice and the ducks have already moved in.
“The sales team has gone above and beyond and they’ve looked after me very well.”
The sales staff were wonderful and did all they could for me. They even helped out when the sale of my previous home fell through which was lovely of them. For one reason and another buying this home was quite a journey but the wait was well worth it. The flowers I had when I moved in were a very nice touch and I felt I’d been really looked after.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the people working for them really care and they are keen help and support people to make sure moving into their new home goes as smoothly as can be.
Mrs Elizabeth Smith -
“We love our little street; there are only so many houses on it so it’s lovely, quiet and not crowded.”
“When you first drive onto the development the houses look quite small, but as soon as you go inside, they’re bigger than you think.”
Moving from a flat, it’s nice to have a house and a garden looking out onto a pond. That makes it more private. We moved from an area with a lot of busy, main roads, and it’s great that it’s not like that here. I love when my daughter goes out to play, and before I didn’t trust the roads enough to be able to allow her to go out. Here, all the pathways are connected all the way round the development, so there’s only one small crossing to take when she sees her friends. That gives me great peace of mind. That fact it’s a building site was also a concern before we moved, but even though they are working four houses down from us we can only hear the odd noises. There’s nothing that would affect us living here.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because they are good houses which are a good size and in a good, quiet location.
Mrs Sarah Murray - Monarch's Rise
"Dunnottar Park is located in a quiet area at the top of a hill, so from our bedroom window we have a lovely view of Stonehaven."
"What appeals to me is that Dunnottar Park is a small development; there aren't going to be thousands of houses."
It's a nice area to bring up little kids because you can let them outside without the worry of a lot of traffic. That suits us with our little boy. Whereas in other developments near Aberdeen where there are multiple developers building, there are only going to be ninety houses here and they are building on top of the existing ones, so they wouldn't be able to expand past that. Anyone driving through will be living here or visiting, so there won't be a huge number of cars.
"The houses are unique."
Whereas in other developments the houses would have a standard brick build, these stand out from any of the other houses in Stonehaven because of the decorative facade they've used, which makes them look beautiful.
"It's very quiet, even though there is still building work going on."
They work in the day, and a road sweeper comes through every night to clean the road, but because they have roads for big lorries to go down our street isn't used for that. My partner works night shifts and it's great that he's had no issues at all with the workmen or diggers.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I'd recommend because of the service we received and the build of the house. I'd heard in the past quite bad reviews of Stewart Milne and I never thought I'd purchase from them because of what I'd heard, but the service I received, and the high finish are perfect.
Mrs Sylvia Ivancic - Dunnottar Park
“Dunnottar Park is perfect for young family living.”
“Compared to standard new estates, this is quite modern.”
The styles of the homes are all different with some clad in wood, some with brick and some with slate. I have a one-year old boy, so the layout of our home is perfect. Our kitchen has an area for a dining room and living area, so I can be with him and get things done. The main reason we chose Stewart Milne Homes over the other developer in the area is because of where we’re situated. Whereas the other one is spread across the dual carriageway, Stonehaven can’t expand further, and you don’t want a young child crossing the dual carriageway to go to school. I’m happy that this is much safer.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because we got really good value for money and we are happy with the finish of the house.
Mrs Emma Moore - Dunnottar Park
“We originally came from here, so we knew of all the good work and good people that Stewart Milne Homes provided.”
“We love to go for walks around here and we’re nice and close to the beach.”
For younger families, there are plenty of things for toddlers to do around the area, and the children on the development are very well mannered. It looks pretty with the grass and little bushes in front. It was nice that all our gardens were turfed; they weren’t for our neighbours who bought from a different developer. A lot of people have come here from outside of the area and they are all so friendly and lovely.
“We lived in a Stewart Milne home before, so we knew the standard, and we actually bought the same style as before.”
The Denewood is the perfect size for the two of us and the occasional visit from our grandchildren, and everything worked out fine. The building is lovely, with extra space from the slightly wider staircase for disabled access and the slightly bigger sitting room. There’s plenty of cupboard space too. Outside, the white rendering, sand coloured mortar and five stone finish are attractive, along with the lovely garden. Inside, we’re happy that the decoration and paintwork are all well done. We got what we expected as returning customers and we’re quite pleased.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because we have lived in two already and Stewart Milne Homes is definitely the best. If anything goes wrong, they are really good at getting things fixed. The homes are very well insulated and very warm, and the lady in Sales and the Site Manager were very helpful.
Mrs Anne McNally -
"There is a nice ambience about the whole area, the whole site."
“Looking outside my front window I love to see the green space.”
It's unusual to have an area that size dedicated that way because usually developers will just put numerous houses in the area. There's a play area for the children, and although you may sometimes think of these developments as places where people keep themselves to themselves, we've been very lucky to have such friendly neighbours.
“Stewart Milne Homes has planned Brackenhill Park well.”
They've thought of minimising the volume of traffic by ensuring there aren't entrances to the main road all over the place, which helps, and they've made sure all the houses aren't the same as the ones beside them. Each style is different.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because of the overall customer service and the quality of the home.
Mr S Hunter - Brackenhill Park
“Seeing how the street has come together since we moved in, we’re even more pleasantly surprised than I thought we would be.”
“From the quality of the finish to the way it looks, everything appears fresh and well done.”
The aesthetic and features on the development really stand out. The different styles of homes, with their varying brickwork and finishing, all add to the general look of the whole development. I also love the landscaping and layout of the streets. On my street they added areas of grass with rows of trees in front of the houses. That helps to add to the wideness of the roads, and it makes the aesthetic of it very nice.
“Dargavel Village feels really rural, even though we’re close to everything we would need.”
It’s really convenient to be near the motorway links and retail shops, while enjoying the feel of the development. It’s well landscaped and we have easy access to lovely walks in the countryside. I’m enjoying it very much.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the house is beautiful, and you can tell they look different from other houses with other builders. They look in a different class. It’s a friendly development and a good build for families; that’s ideal for us.
Mr Ross Thomson - Dargavel Village
“This is the first new home we’ve purchased, and we absolutely love it.”
“Our previous house was built around 1900, so we just wanted something with less maintenance, so we could enjoy ourselves a little bit more on the evenings and weekends.”
We’re happy that the build and finish are really good, and any little niggles have been put right straight away. The insulation makes it a lot warmer than where we were previously, so we’re looking forward to the savings on our heating bills.
“The plot we purchased is in a nice, quiet spot overlooking a grassy area with a large oak tree.”
We’re situated on a small cul-de-sac on a lovely block paved road, which I thought was an unusual, nice feature. It’s varied around the wider estate with four to six of each style of house interspersed, so it’s nice and different. There’s a footpath that runs down the side of our house that takes us a bit further through the fields. That’s a nice thing to have on your doorstep.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because it's been a really good experience. Any issues have been resolved or are being dealt with quickly. We really like the build quality, and a lot of thought has gone into the development.
Mr Mark Tunnicliffe -
“Colinhill Grange is family friendly and we really enjoy the peace and quiet.”
“We used to live somewhere quite busy, but here we’re out in the country with farmland surrounding us.”
The layout of the development is good with cul-de-sacs and no through roads. That means if you’re in the development it’s because you live there. Traffic is low and it’s not particularly busy. There are a lot of children that play about here and everyone is quite welcoming with that.
“There are different styles of houses, so they aren’t all uniform.”
We love that it’s not all the same. There are different sizes, some with buff brick and some with a red / black brick. The difference is that the varied look is much more appealing on the eye.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the whole buying experience was actually smooth, and they were quite helpful. We did a part exchange and that process went very smoothly. They tried to make it as stress free as it could be.
Mr James Kerr -
“As a first-time buyer it’s nerve wrecking, but Stewart Milne Homes put me at ease.”
“It was a very comprehensive house building exercise.”
They gave me some colour schemes to choose from, but instead of just showing me a slab of colours they let us go to see all the different combinations in the houses. They updated us with the progress of the build and we actually felt a part of everything. It was just the general support and contact all the way through from the sales to the site team. There are still people around and available to do odd jobs in the houses. I can’t recommend them enough.
“Everything has been amazing, even the introduction to my neighbours.”
I always get a “hello” when I see them on the estate. Sometimes it makes a big difference having nice neighbours. Our block is full of younger residents, but there are older families here too, and we’ve all been having little house parties. It’s crazy getting on so well with everyone.
“The most positive part of the development is the green aspect.”
It’s a well-built development with a variety of houses and a lot of space. You don’t feel on top of each other, like you would in other housing estates. An example would be that there is a nice, green open space in front of the house, and I’m sure there will be a local feature at the front as well. It’s hard to sum it up, but from all the other houses we looked at, it looks like they’ve brought together all the best bits of other homes into one.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because of the continuous contact and the specification of the house. We are very happy with the home we picked.
Mr Daniel Myatt -
"I love the location and the community atmosphere within the estate."
"We came from more of a town, and we were looking for a new build."
We'd never had a new build before, and when we were looking the sales staff here were very friendly. We liked new builds because of the lack of maintenance and when we found our home, it ticked all our boxes.
"From a personal point of view, Upton Pines is in close proximity to work and schools, but we're quite lucky with our aspect of the woods."
Our plot overlooks a wooded park that surrounds probably a quarter of the estates and there are a lot of footpaths going through it, so there is quite a lot of green space here. On top of that, all of my neighbours are nice and friendly.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the whole process was good.
Mr Colin Clayton -
“For our first home, the process has been so easy.”
“It felt really personal.”
The Site Manager, Pete, and Sales Consultant, Claire, know us by our first name and wave to us in the street. They can’t do enough. We’ve been led so seamlessly through the journey, with the team constantly updating us and sending us emails, that we always felt in the loop and like we knew what we were doing. Pete looked after the snags and he’s been calling around to check if we need anything and if we’ve settled in. We always thought the home buying process would be stressful, but it’s been an enjoyable, easy experience, and that’s down to the customer service. On our community Facebook page, across the board it looks like everyone is happy. Claire even put up reminders and numbers to call for certain situations. I feel really looked after here.
“The homes are brilliant value for money.”
The curb appeal is brilliant. They’re good looking, well built, good quality and they actually have good storage. There’s so much to choose when you’re selecting your kitchen, with the choice of cupboards, flooring, tiles in the bathroom and the finishing on the wardrobe doors.
“It’s just so peaceful.”
Pen Pentre is a small development with forty-three houses, surrounded by a lot of greenery. They haven’t crammed in too many houses so it’s great they’ve left the space. The building is ongoing here as well, and it’s nice that we haven’t been affected by that at all.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because it’s been a smooth process and from start to finish you are made to feel valued. Help is on hand if you need it and the homes are great value for money.
Miss Adele Parry -
"Before we moved, my son and his family bought a Stewart Milne Home in Winchborough; as they spoke so highly of them, we decided to purchase on Calderwood II."
"I was pleased with their quality of build."
The finish of the properties outside is excellent with a mixture of render and stone cladding making the houses look very attractive. Inside, the kitchens are fantastic with all the appliances, storage cupboards and worktop finishes. The bathrooms and en suite are well kitted out.
"It's a very quiet, peaceful development."
We're situated in a nice area with no through roads, so there is not a lot of traffic and we're very lucky to have the country park just a few minutes' walk away.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because we are so pleased with the house. We have been treated well and the materials are excellent.
Mr George Duncan -
“We’re happy with our home and the friendly, welcoming community; we’re looking forward to spending our future here.”
“One of the reasons we chose to move, was to have bigger bedrooms for our children as they grow up, and we managed to achieve that with this design.”
They had a range of options to suit various customer needs, with homes ranging from three, to four and five-bedroom homes. Some homes also came with the option of a second living area that could be chosen to meet individual needs, such as a TV room, dining room or toy room for the children. We chose the toy room.
“As we drive up to the development the layout and the home designs make it really appealing to the eye.”
I like the design of the paths we can walk on to access the various parts of the development, and they are building a play park for the children too. It will be nice to have a nice, large, communal grass area that the whole community can use in the summer.
“Brackenhill Park has all the essential amenities and transport links for pleasure or for commuting to work.”
The local area is part of what made this home the right choice for us. There are two accessible railway stations, a bus station and shops nearby to get supplies. There are also a lot of restaurants close by to enjoy.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the house designs are really nice and attractive and it's a nice area to reside in.
Mr Martin Tierney and Mrs Julieann Tierney - Brackenhill Park
